The organization was founded on 21 July 2017 in Jakarta. In achieving the goal, EcoNusa Foundation encourages the development of the capacity of civil society organizations to organize advocacy, campaigns, communication with the engagement and dialogue among stakeholders in promoting sustainable natural resource management and the values of transparency, conservation, and equity. We work on several projects which, among others, focus on local community resilience, policy advocacy, communication hubs in Eastern Indonesia, and local economic development.

PURPOSE OF JOB
The Consultant for Sustainable Tourism Program Development will provide technical support and leadership to various project teams across departments in conducting analytical work to assess the potential for sustainable tourism planning and development in eastern Indonesia and processing and administering sustainable tourism development base on nature and community.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conduct analytical work in coordination with other departments and stakeholders to determine potential for sustainable tourism planning and development in eastern Indonesia by collating resources, data and reporting trends.
· Lead in identifying, designing, processing, and administering projects in sustainable tourism with a focus on holistic, integrated, and sustainable solutions considering planning, strategy, policy, regulations, marketing, infrastructure and basic services, private sector participation, livelihood and skills development for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), innovation, high-level technology, and tourism related institutional capacity.
· Provide extensive inputs to program teams in preparing sustainable tourism development, join missions, and advise governments on improving sustainable tourism development plans based on regional and local resources and data analytics on available and probable tourism support infrastructure.
· Coordinate across sectors in the geographic space covering sustainable tourism program including but not limited to regional planning and development, design and place management, water, sanitation and hygiene (i.e., WASH), solid waste management, flood risk management, transport, energy, health, education and information and communication technology (ICT).
· Ensure thematic issues in project design, including but not limited to community resilience, climate change, environment, disaster management, cultural heritage, pro-poor, gender, green growth, social development, governance, and finance are incorporated in projects.
· Lead teams to administer programs, engage consultant through different procurement methods, administer construction and operation and maintenance contracts.
· Coordinate with development partners active and government in the sustainable tourism sector.
· Participate and support knowledge and thematic work with practical relevance in delivery of sustainable tourism projects.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES
· Master's degree in, or equivalent, in Rural and Regional Planning, Tourism Planning Management, Architecture, Heritage Conservation, Economics or related fields. Alternatively, university degree in Rural and Regional Planning, Tourism Planning and Management, Architecture, Heritage Conservation, Economics or related fields with additional relevant professional experience may be considered;
· Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience;
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is required;
· Able to undertake background research and analysis on difficult but well-defined tasks; collect and organize required data and information; apply appropriate computer skills in analyzing and developing the data; and prepare notes, papers, and sections of reports
· Demonstrates in-depth understanding of the interactions between different EcoNusa work areas and relevant workflows and their purposes;
· Possesses good analytical thinking with ability to make simple causal links, pro-and-con lists, and analyses to reach a decision; and set priorities for tasks in order of importance
· Able to liaise and work effectively with staff within own work location and can work collaboratively with teams; and
