Background
The Fleming Fund Country Grant to Indonesia is supporting the government in implementing the National Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Action Plan. The fund supports strategies to monitor and contain AMR and to monitor antimicrobial consumption and use (AMC/U) and improve antimicrobial stewardship. The Fleming Fund Country Grant Indonesia is being implemented by a consortium led by DAI with partners the Eijkman Institute, Health Security Partners, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and Ausvet. The implementation of the fund adopts a One Health approach supporting activities across the human, terrestrial animal and aquatic animal sectors. The project seeks to strengthen current surveillance of AMR and AMU/C by working closely with the Ministries of Health, Agriculture and Marine Affairs and Fisheries and provincial counterparts to support capacity development in relation to laboratories and testing, surveillance and information management. The project will also support and seek to engage private sector interests including healthcare providers and animal production industry stakeholders.
Purpose of This Post
DAI Fleming Fund Country Grant to Indonesia is seeking a conscientious research analyst for the short time position of Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
Description of Duties
Specific responsibilities include:
1. General
- Assist and provide support to the technical program lead in developing quarterly report to the ministries.
- Submit reports and periodic updates on monitoring and evaluation activity.
- Participate in meetings (virtual or in-person) organized by the project team.
- Liaise with relevant FFCG-Indonesia project staff for logistical support.
- Any other related tasks, as needed.
2. Specific
- Develop and oversee the review of project level monitoring and evaluation plan.
- Monitor project indicators’ progress and activities through dashboards.
- Provide timely quarterly reports on performance and progress of activities.
- Gather and update contact database regularly.
- Summarize data and analysis in presentation-ready formats and user-friendly visuals, which could be used for high-level advocacy and informed-decisions.
Deliverables will include:
- Quarterly report to ministries.
- Periodic update of project dashboard.
Qualifications and Skills
· At least a bachelor’s degree in public health, public policy, finance and economics, or statistics plus minimum 7 years work relevant experience.
· Ability to conduct research and desk review, and prepare comprehensive and concise summaries/reports, including data visualization.
· Operational knowledge/experience on monitoring and evaluation tool.
· Good communication skills (written and oral) in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Desirable
· Familiarity with the human and animal health sectors; One Health approach; Global Health Security.
Supervision
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will work under the direct supervision of Technical Programme Lead.
Level of Effort/Timeline
Period of performance for this assignment is August 2021 through January 2022 with up to 120 days of LOE (Level of Effort).
Nationality
Indonesian national.
Remuneration and package
Remuneration and package will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
