Raise the Bar Social Media Officer

Plan International Indonesia has been operating in Indonesia since 1969, according to the Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Indonesia. In 2017, Plan International Indonesia transformed into Yayasan Plan International Indonesia; registered by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. This transformation aims to reach more children, especially girls in Indonesia.
Raise the Bar project is one of projects under Adolescent Health and Agency Program. Based on YPII's Country Strategy 4 (CS4) 2017 – 2022, one of its objectives is adolescent, particularly girls and young women's increased knowledge and practice on healthy and productive life choices. Raise the Bar project is designed to challenge the existing gender norms deeply rooted in society which has contributed to gender inequality, that only grows deepen during pandemic. The pandemic, on the other hand, also creates opportunity to establish positive gender norms and behaviour.
The Social Media Officer will support and assist Raise the Bar Project Coordinator in the implementation and the achievement of the project objectives which relates to increase awareness, agency and leadership of young urban women to become champion on gender equality in the community (household and workplace) and to increase capacity and awareness of young urban man to tackle toxic masculinity and promote feminist leadership.
S/he will provide support and assistance for successful implementation of the Raise the Base project and growing the project portfolio, particularly in social media. S/he will support the Project Coordinator to strengthen the Raise the Bar Project management in specific, and Program Adolescent Health and Agency in general.
General Management:
- The post holder reports to Raise the Bar Project Coordinator.
- Support the Project Coordinator to coordinate the project planning, implementation, budgeting and monitoring evaluation of project activities.
- Support the Project Coordinator to influence gender norms through digital campaign and collaboratively working with communication teams in optimizing organization's digital platform to amplify project campaign key messages.
- Support the Project Coordinator in coordination with project partners and relevant stakeholders,
- Support the Project Coordinator in preparing and developing education materials on the issue of positive gender norms and tackling toxic masculinity, as well as integrate cross-cutting issues such as gender equality, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), mental health into program activities.
Program implementation in line with the project design and planning
- Support Project Coordinator in implementing the project in line with project work plan, monitoring and evaluation framework, and communications strategy.
- Support Project Coordinator in executing the project workplan on the basis of key activities specific plans.
- Support Project Coordinator in coordinate with project partners or other relevant stakeholders of project activities.
- Assist the Project MER Specialist, in providing project data collection and verification to avoid double counting and reported to Project Coordinator.
- Working collaboratively with technical advisor/specialist in CO for cross-cutting issue such as gender and inclusion, communication strategy, youth participation, safeguarding.
Communication, Monitoring and Reporting
- Assist Project Coordinator in day to day monitoring of target project activity.
- Maintain positive communication and coordination with Project Coordinator and Project team on activity planning and implementation.
- Support Project Coordinator and work together with MER Specialist to monitor project indicators progress and expenditure of project activities.
- Support Project Coordinator in preparing progress reports for internal YPII use in monthly basis and/or another basis if needed.
- Collaborate with communications team to implement communications strategy and digital campaign.
Networks, partnership and Learning
- Maintaining contact with external networks in order to strengthen the implementation of project, to exchange experiences and to scale up program implementation.
- Maintaining high quality relationship with implementing partner and relevant stakeholders, as well as reviewing reports and indicators.
- Develop project documentation showing learning and best practices emerged during project implementation.
- Seek innovation and put in place improved learning practices within and outside the program.
Financial and Administration
- Support the Project Coordinator in preparing and ensuring administration and financial support document of project activities according to the implementation and expenditure.
- Support the Project Coordinator to oversee and administer the day-today activities of the project; follow the policies, procedures, and systems of Plan International Indonesia which ensure productive and efficient office operation.
- Support Project Coordinator to organize and facilitate project meeting, conferences and other special event as planned throughout the project; coordinate and attends meeting, and participates in discussion as appropriate (when required).

Gained through education, training, & experience
Essential
- Bachelor degree in Social Science / Communication / Graphic Design / others relevant field.
- At least 1 year of experience working on project management, fresh graduates are welcome to apply with experiences in organization management.
- Experience of implementing project on a day to day basic, delivering on required tasks and a good awareness of project requirements and priorities.
- Experience in organizing event, especially online / virtually.
- Experience in participating on digital campaign.
- Good analytical skill, able to capture and understand the dynamics of social media engagement.
- Strong cross-cultural skills and a demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to collaborate with different communities.
- Good in speaking and writing English.
- Good interpersonal communication skills for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Able to work both in team and independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to multi-task.
- Commitment to safeguarding and CCCD implementation.
- Commitment to Fraud awareness policy.
Desirable
- Knowledge on IT-based/innovation project implementation.
- Good understanding about gender norms and practices.
- At least 1-year experience or skills around connecting or working with young people
- Good Knowledge on and Practices of Safeguarding.
