POSITION DESCRIPTION

Field Officer Expanding Saving Live at Birth

Position:                                              Temporary Field Officers  

Location:                                             Indramayu, Sumedang, Grobogan and Sampang 

Reports To:                                         Project Coordinator ESLAB

Supervisory Responsibility:             No

Background:

Yayasan Project HOPE is a NGO who work in Indonesia and legally registered since 2018 to provide response to the most pressing global health challenges in country such as Infectious Diseases, Non-infectious diseases, Maternal and Neonatal Health, Emergency and Disaster Response. We are working at the district and national level to help people in needs through increasing health care workers capacity.

Yayasan Project HOPE is seeking Temporary Field Officers t to be placed at Expanding Saving Lives at Birth districts intervention at Indramayu, Sumedang, Grobogan and Sampang, Indonesia. Under the supervision of Program Manager and direct supervision of Project Coordinator, the Field Officers will be responsible to provide support to programs on Maternal Neonatal and Child Health (MNCH) at the district interventions level. The Field officers is expecting to assist in implementing program on scaling best practices on MNCH in the selected districts.

Responsibilities:

1.         Assist the Program Coordinator and Program Manager in implementing the scale-up of comprehensive package of MNCH interventions (including project assessment, training, monitoring, and evaluation) at duty station.

2.         Record the activities that have been carried out, the obtained achievements (including the output of activities, i.e documents, photos, TOR, etc.), as well as records and identified potential challenges in the implementation of the project, then report it periodically in accordance with the specified deadlines, forms, and reporting mechanism to supervisors.

3.         Periodically monitor and report (biweekly and quarterly) the progress of technical assistance of the implementation of “Expanding Saving Lives at Birth " to Project Coordinator and Program Manager with acknowledge from the Districts Health Office at the duty station.

4.         Provide technical support and pro-active measurement to district authorities in the implementation of MNCH packages using best practices and successful approaches to ensure work plan is implemented with a quality result.

5.         Conduct any other assignment by the supervisor.

Requirements:

1.       Minimum 1-3 years of similar experience in the field of Public Health/MCH with government, private sector and/or NGOs.

2.       Located / domicile at the district selected intervention (Indramayu, Sumedang, Grobogan, and Sampang).

3.       Bachelor’s degree in community medicine, social science, or related public health degrees

4.       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

5.       Proficiency with MS Word and Excel (minimum requirements)

6.       Proficiency in English and local language is preferable

7.       Willing to travel within the district and sometime outside the district.
