Global Green Growth Institute Internship Program

The Global Green Growth Institute internship program (also called "Green Growth" Program) provides a unique learning opportunity for students and recent graduates from diverse academic backgrounds. The program is designed for talented and motivated individuals skilled in areas relevant to GGGI’s operations. The program allows selected candidates to gain insight into the work of the Institute and provides assistance and training in various professional fields in a multicultural environment. We encourage qualified women and men, in particular, nationals of developing countries, with diverse professional, academic, and cultural backgrounds to apply. 

Current Opportunity

We are looking for a talented individual to work with us in the Renewable Energy – Accelerated Transition in Indonesia (RE-ACT) Project to support the implementation of activities under the RE-ACT project in assisting the Government of Indonesia in to shift policy settings in order to catalyze growing contribution from renewable energy to national electricity supply mix and higher ambition approach to national emissions reduction.

The assignment will include the followings but not limited to:

1. Committing for full-time work (40 hours per week) from 1 September 2022 – 31 March 2023
2. Conducting desk research on Renewable Energy topics and related knowledge to support the project activities implementation and planning
3. Assisting in workshops and other events
4. Preparing minutes of workshops, events, and meetings
5. Arranging a database documentation for project deliverables and ensure the database is consistent, well-structured, and has clear reference
6. Researching and assisting in drafting written reports for internal and external use based on guidelines provided by the project team
7. Supporting other administration works and field works related to RE-ACT Project

 

Eligibility                                                                

 

Applicants to the GGGI internship program must at the time of application meet the following requirements:

• Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (final year) prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
• Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to the Institute’s work
• Possess an excellent command of English (Speaking & Written)

 

Qualification

• Candidate must be in the final year of an undergraduate/graduate degree in Environmental Studies/Management, Sustainable Development, Natural resources and conservation, Urban Planning, or other related majors, and/or have just graduated in the last 12 months before the starting date; higher-level applicants are also welcome.
• Proven strong academic track record.
• Knowledge and understanding on the role of renewable energy sector in sustainable development, familiarity with Indonesia’s context is desirable.
• Experience in doing data gathering and research is must.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented individuals with good organizational skills.
• Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office.
• Proven analytical and report writing skills are advantageous.

·    GGGI evaluates applications based on the eligibility requirements, relevance of academic study and work experience (if any); and the level of interest and motivation to contribute to development work.
