Finance and Tax Specialist
Project Overview and Role:
This role will manage and oversee program finances by carrying out banking transactions, managing petty cash and bank accounts, managing audit implementation, providing financial reports/ data, assisting in preparing monthly and quarterly forecasts and interests
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure Palladium corporate finances are well planned, and funds are available to support operations, preparing cash flow forecasts and project fund requests in accordance with Palladium operations protocols
- Execute the process of VAT, Transfer Pricing, Payroll and Company Tax Returns each year / month
- Support Financial Accounting, Reporting and Taxation
- Oversee Treasury matters
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise for financial accounting and tax to the Group
- Lead the external audit processes each year
- Support and respond to internal audit processes for finance as required
- Ensure compliance with any financing requirements
- Prepare monthly reports on expenditures
- Process payments of local salaries for National Advisers and Locally Engaged Staff, including managing the tax withholding requirements
- Maintain Palladium Indonesia bank accounts and ensure effective internal controls of Palladium Indonesia transactions and financial operations
- Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts for local expenditure, and track expenditure against this forecast
- Ensure financial monitoring systems provide timely and relevant reports
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accountancy, economic or business administration; preferably MBA
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Finance & Tax Specialist/Manager or equivalent post; experience working on DFAT funded projects, international development projects or another bilateral donor project preferred
- Extensive experience in financial management including budgeting, forecasting and financial reports
- Experience in developing financial tools and procedures including providing further training to non-financial staff
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) and Bahasa Indonesia
- Have the rights to working in Indonesia
