As a federal enterprise, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. The project "Scaling SCP" aims to support climate- and resource-friendly product standards and consumption patterns in SEA and thereby contribute to mitigation of climate change and promotion of resource protection. The four partner countries of the project are: Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. The main objective of the project is to strengthen Type I eco-labels and G/SPP as central elements of an SCP policy in partner countries, with the overarching goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In Indonesia, the SCP legislative framework has been significantly strengthened by specific G/SPP-laws (Presidential Regulation Number 12 of 2021 and LKPP Institution Regulation Number 12 of 2021).
The Indonesian government has prepared regulations for the implementation of GPP that state and regulate green procurement and sustainable development. In the Work Process for Development of Green Public Procurement, Indonesia already has a Green Label scheme consisting of GPP schemes from ministries in Indonesia. Procurement of goods/services is now transforming into one of the drivers of the economy, especially with the issuance of Presidential Decree Number 12 of 2021. Green Public Procurement (GPP) was developed by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry as an environmental economy to encourage Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) and as a transformation agenda for the government sector.
GIZ Scaling SCP project is currently seeking a Contractor to Facilitation for Development and Implementation of Product Standard to Green Public Procurement (GPP).
