Program and Liaison Officer
for Indonesian Nationals only, based in Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek)
Responsible for : Kemenko PMK/FES joint projects
Based in : Jakarta, Indonesia
Status : Contractual Basis - For 1 year; with possibility of extension

The Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Indonesia Office, a German political foundation, has a cooperation agreement with the Indonesian Coordinating Ministry of Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK). The focus of the collaboration between Kemenko PMK and FES in Indonesia is through partnerships with national/local government agencies, universities and research institutes, local community and civil society to promote the sustainable development in Indonesia.
The program and liaison officer is to be employed by FES and will be assigned by FES to work in Kemenko PMK as well as in FES Indonesia office.
The scope of responsibility is:
- Implementing and assisting activities of the Kemenko PMK/FES joint program
- Organizing conferences, seminars, workshops, trainings and other events within the framework of PMK/FES joint program
- Supervising the preparation and launching of publications within the framework of Kemenko PMK/FES joint program
- Assisting the PMK focal point in the implementation and administration of the joint program of Kemenko PMK/ FES
- Enhancing processes and communication between FES and Kemenko PMK as a Liaison Officer – shuttling between the two organizations
- Conducting review and monitoring on progress of joint program
- Writing reports on the progress of joint program
Qualifications and requirements:
- First level university degree (S1) in social and political science, public administration or other related fields
- At least 3 (three) years of professional experience; preferably in government institution and/or in development NGO
- Excellent administration, organizational and IT skills; good attention to detail and numeracy
- Excellent command of English and Bahasa Indonesia mother tongue
- Excellent communication, analytical, networking and inter-personal skills
- Ability to work with people of different levels and backgrounds
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently and team work
- Willing to travel
