The Medical Science Liaison is responsible for building scientific partnerships with key opinion leader (KOLs) and other healthcare professionals through providing high quality up-to-date scientific.

The function is based in the field. (The role will work in strong collaboration with the medical manager/medical director who is office-based).

 

1. Primarily responsibility is for KOL's engagement:
1. Develop strong strategic partnerships driven by the science to establish and expand the clinical network
2. Maintain a database of KOL engagement logs and ensure continuous and timely follow-ups on the deliverables.
3. Execute the engagement plans to gather data and scientific insights
4. Identifies, profiles and cultivates  collaboratives relationships with target HCP/KTLs as scientific peers and advocates
5. Actively update scientific knowledge as the basis for scientific discussion to build professional relationship with KOLs for scientific advocacy
6. Be the subject matter expert and resource center by keeping abreast of the latest trends and developments
7. Scientific briefing for speakers in scientific events and scientific discussion on unsolicited requests for information about unapproved products or unapproved uses of approved products
8. Communicates information to HCPs regarding Company-sponsored Medical initiatives and research opportunities (Medical programs, sponsorships, grants, etc.) and liaises with HCPs regarding these activities as per Local affiliate regulations Medical  Affairs
9. Conduct effective continuous medical education (CME), disease area training and clinical case sharing
2. Cross-functional scientific exchange and communication with internal stakeholders
1. Pro-active in enabling other functions through internal education
2. Collaborates with cross-function colleagues to gain profound territory knowledge
3. Educate sales representatives by providing in-depth information
4. Share customer insights with internal stakeholders (brand team, sales reps)
5. Work collaboratively and compliantly with commercial team to ensure full Medical Affairs support for new product and business launches.
6. Support commercial team to develop, edit, and review clinical/scientific collaterals to ensure clinical/scientific accuracy, relevance to target audiences, and alignment to company's business and strategic objectives.
3. Operational Excellence
1. Share insight from KOLs to advance the medical strategic direction
2. Successfully complete all training requirements
3. Comply with all external regulations & internal policies
4. Recognize and report any Adverse Events, according to the company procedures

 

 

Desired Skills & Qualification

 

Medical degree, Pharmacist degree or Scientific degree (fresh graduates may apply).

Mobility and flexibility (organization and attendance of evening meetings)

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Strong interpersonal skills, including capability to engage in professional relationship building and networking.

Highly motivated and capable of comprehending large amounts of scientific content which is then communicated in a clear and concise fashion.

Strong team player who knows how to collaborate and engage multiple stakeholders across various functions in the company.

Proficient and fluent in English (both spoken and written).
