SurfAid is a non-profit organization which aims to improve the health, wellbeing and self-reliance of people living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing. SurfAid is currently working in a few locations in Indonesia: Mentawai Islands District in Sumatra Barat, Bima District in NTB and Sumba Barat District in NTT. We work in the areas that are considered the most remote, with limited infrastructure and few community empowerment programs working there.
We are currently establishing a new program in Rote, East Nusa Tenggara and looking for an experienced and resourceful person with a positive "CAN DO" attitude to join the team as our:
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning System
(MEALS) OFFICER - ROTE MALOLE
As part of the Rote Malole Program Team, MEALS Officer is responsible to produce reliable data (both quantitative and qualitative) according to the SurfAid standard.
THE PERSON:
You are an open minded person and do not mind being hands on as needed since you will involve supporting the team to open the project and establish a detailed implementation plan. You will be based in a remote area for a long period of time and required to spend 60% of your work time to travel to the village to support your field team, therefore your willingness to travel in basic conditions is highly expected. It would be great if you are used to working with small organizations, as you may also need to be involved in improving the system from time to time.
THE QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES:
Minimum Bachelor's degree from any relevant majors: statistics, economy, math or public health
3 years experience M&E in Development sector
Adept in quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting
Demonstrated excellence in using MS Excel, MS Access, or other tools to manage, analyze and visualize
Excellent knowledge of specialized data analysis/statistical software
Experienced working with multiple external stakeholders
Independent personality who loves to work in a team
Demonstrated skill in training / coaching others
"CAN DO"- attitude with critical thinking
Strong writing skills for reporting
