Yayasan Project HOPE(YPH)  is a non profit foundation, registered in the Ministry of Law and Human Right in 2018, and part of the Global Project HOPE network. As part of the global health and humanitarian relief organization, YPH is providing the lasting solutions to health problems with the mission of placing power in the hands of local health workers to save lives across the globe.

Program Overview:

YPH supports the Indonesia Ministry of Health and selected Provincial and District Health Offices to Strengthen the Capacity of Healthcare Workers and the Health system in for the Prevention, Control and Management of Communicable and Non Communicable Disease. These include:

  • Infection Prevention Control Program aiming to reduce morbidity of Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) among the Health Care Workers (HCWs) especially during pandemic and outbreaks (UBS Optimus funded IPC program).
  • Health Communication for Accelerating Tuberculosis Preventive Treatment (TPT) for priority community groups (USAID Prevent – Tb) ,
  • Integration of Mental Health into Tb care in South East Asia (TB Mental Health – Asia), and
  • Improving the Surveilance, Early Detection and Response Capacity to events of international concerns (US – CDC funded INSPIRASI).
  • COVID19 Resiliencies (Medtronic Palliative Care and NCDs)

Position Summary:

S/he will provide technical guidance and program management for existing disease prevention and control projects and to contribute to the design and development of technical proposals/application for any funding opportunity on CD/NCD and Global Health areas. S/he will lead in implementing new, high-quality programs on scaling best practices on strengthening IPC program in Indonesia, and s/he will coordinate all aspects of scaling up a comprehensive package of program interventions in selected districts/provinces with health facilities.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

For Infection Prevention and Control Program:

  1. Plan, coordinate and implement the comprehensive package, including development the advocacy strategy of IPC interventions in selected districts/provinces,
  2. Provide technical support to plan, implement and monitor the IPC programs (with contributions from PERDALIN)
  3. Coordinate efforts to prepare a comprehensive package of curricula (using Project HOPE existing training resources) and tools for assessment, training, supervision, and monitoring and evaluation with relevant stakeholders and government.
  4. Develop and implement monitoring methodology and tools for quality assurance of all aspects of IPC program implementation.
  5. Support provincial/districts health offices and hospitals in the implementation of IPC program using best practices and successful approaches.
  6. Lead the program team and ensure quality delivery of the program in line with the donor/ partner expectations, agreement and budget.
  7. Develop training modules and materials for building capacity of health care professionals and hospitals in implementing good practices of IPC.
  8. Write technical reports, project reports, concepts, research papers, survey reports, etc.
  9. Ensure financial monitoring of programs in accordance with standard operating procedure and donor guidelines and regulations with support from finance team.

For Global Health Security:

  1. Lead the overall planning and coordination of activities
  2. She will oversee the project's implementation plan, monitoring, and evaluation plan, and provide technical assistance and leadership of all project partners.
  3. She will liaise with US-CDC in Indonesia, UGM Center for Health Policy and Management (CHPM), Projetc HOPE US and maintain strategic communication and partnerships with Indonesia MoH, selected PHO, other stakeholders, and international partners

In addition to above, she will support the YPH Executive Director to

  1. Develop a strategy and plan of action for scaling up best practices in line with the MoH guidelines for new project development.
  2. Build and strengthen, as required, networking with government, donors, project partners and other stakeholders
  3. Contribute to the development of new proposals for submission for Private Phylantropies and Public Funding (USAID, DFAT, DFID, GIZ etc.) for Disease Prevention and Control and other business/funding opportunities
  4. Contribute to the organizational growth and change management as part of the YPH Senior Leadership Team
  5. Any other work assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Advanced degree in medicine, epidemiology, public health and related subjects from an established university, or relevant field experience.
  2. More than five years of project management experience (management, planning, staff development and training skills) in emergency / development programs.
  3. 2-3 years of experience in infectious disease, communicable and non-communicable disease program implementation, including initial project design, start-up, staffing, implementation, and close-out.
  4. Strong network of agencies and individuals active in communicable disease, non communicable and health security programming.
  5. Skills and knowledge in project monitoring and evaluation (both quantitative and qualitative methods)
  6. Strong writing, presentation, and program development skills.
  7. Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
  8. Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks and many administrative details in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.
  9. Computer proficiency should include Word, Excel, and other general experience with software programs.
  10. Fluency in English required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Have field experience and management in various types of infectious disease and outbreak response.
  • Must be a people person
  • Has developed strong working relationships with actors in the infectious and non-infectious disease programming
  • Preferably those who have experience working with non-governmental organizations.
  • Be comfortable interacting with new people and groups both one-on-one and for large gatherings
  • Be able to motivate above in positive collaboration
  • Have the ability to identify and analyse opportunities that contribute to strategic aims, translate them into practical plans and implement them
  • Organize trainings for large group activities with multiple actors and piece parts.
