Consultant, Finance & Accounting

Core Responsibility
To help Finance and Accounting become more compliant in documentation and reporting, Rare is currently looking for a Finance & Accounting Consultant for finance and accounting at Rare Indonesia. This role will provide support and compliance for Rare Indonesia's day-to-day accounting finance reporting and auditing needs by ensuring that Financial Management, Field Office Operations Management, Logistics needs, and Safety requirements are met based on Rare's policies and procedures, local laws and regulations, and donor requirements.
The Finance & Accounting Consultant will report directly to Associate, Accounting and Finance. S/he will work closely with other staff in Rare Indonesia.
Main duties and key responsibilities
Accounting and Finance Support:
- Examine invoices, receipts, and other documents.
- Check and complete the documents required for the payment process.
- Inputting and implementing the system runs accurately and on time.
- Continuously evaluate finance and accounting related to procedures and audits.
- Filing and verifying the completeness of accounting and finance documents
- Play an active role in monthly closing by ensuring that the monthly closing deadlines are met.
- Provide support in closing monthly reports, ensuring conformity of data entry and recording, as well as preparing reports.
- Ensure financial reports are completed on time.
- Making Expenditure Reports and calculation of expenses.
- Working with a team (Teamwork) to achieve the goals needed for the benefit of the company.
- Perform work delegated by superiors.
- Other tasks related to the functions such as Finance and Accounting given by the user.
- Making Monthly Tax payment and report.
- Create data support for making Annual Tax Report
- Support for making Annual Tax Report
- Ensuring accuracy in submitting Tax Reports
Qualifications & Experience
- Associated with bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration and similar degree
- Understands of basic accounting (journal)
- Understands making monthly tax reports.
- Minimum of 3 years accounting and finance experience, preferably with an international or local NGO
- Demonstrate careful attention to detail.
- Excellent proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office (mainly in excel); familiar with financial software
- Demonstrate ability to handle a heavy workload and changing priorities and tasks under strict deadlines.
- Excellent communications and personal management skills, ability to relate to people at all levels of an organization with different multi-cultural backgrounds.
- Strong interest and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Computer literacy (excellent IT skills); competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and other MS tools, including the ability in operating Accounting Software
- Able to work independently without supervision but also accustomed to working in a team.
- Good communications skills - able to express complex information in a simple and succinct manner.
- Self-starter, pro-active and uses initiative - can work independently and priorities own workload.
- Able to communicate adequately in written and spoken English.
- Flexible and able to work under pressure and often to tight deadlines; including an ability to prioritize job.
- Willing to work at any circumstances both independently or in a group, such as in remote areas with very limited facilities.
- Prioritize those who have taken brevet A and B
- Preference will be given to those who have experience in tax for 2-3 years
