As of September 2022, the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Indonesia (OUCRU Indonesia) operates in partnership with the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia after having been known as the Eijkman Oxford Clinical Research Unit (EOCRU) since 2008. OUCRU Indonesia is part of the Africa Asia Programme Vietnam, sponsored by the Wellcome Trust, and governed by the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, United Kingdom. OUCRU in Indonesia and Vietnam, along with their many local and international partners, conduct biomedical, clinical, and epidemiological research on infections impacting the health of people living in Southeast Asia and beyond.
In conducting their work in Indonesia, OUCRU ID is assisted by Alliance for Emerging and Re-emerging Disease Threats in Asia Foundation (ALERTAsia), a local foundation assisting in research grant management and capacity building for local researchers. Through ALERTAsia we are looking for those working in the medical field who are interested in taking part in research activities as Enumerators for the Study of "Effectiveness of COVID-19 Vaccine Boosters in Indonesia". This study is managed by the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) Indonesia in partnership with FK-KMK Universitas Gadjah Mada and funded by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US CDC). Qualified enumerators will be placed in hospitals/research sites in Jakarta.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct interviews with patients to collect data in compliance with the study protocol.
2. Verify data for accuracy and completeness.
3. Ensure confidentiality and security of data.
4. Conduct follow-up interviews.
5. Complete supporting documents (e.g. logs, reports) and other administrative requirements.
6. Maintain study documentation.
7. Utilize electronic devices to record data.
8. Liaise with site, site supervisor/investigator and Clinical Research Coordinator.
Job Requirements:
· Associate or bachelor's degree in medical science (public health/ nursing/midwifery/nutritionist) with a minimum 1 (one) year of related experience, or fresh graduate;
· Prior experience in research is favourable;
· Good communication and interpersonal skills;
· Attention to detail and accuracy in collecting data;
· Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic devices for data collection;
· Willing to work for at least 8 months in hospitals in Jakarta.
Benefits:
The selected candidate will initially receive a 8 months' contract with a possibility to receive a contract extension. Remuneration package that includes annual leave, sick leave, THR, compensation money, BPJS Kesehatan, and not to mention fully paid income tax and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (JAMSOSTEK). The salary shall be competitive.
The successful candidate will work in a dynamic team of clinicians, academics, scientists and research support teams from diverse renowned, international centres.
