PURPOSE OF JOB


KOBUMI operates in close collaboration with local communities and indigenous groups, fostering a spirit of cooperation that results in a diverse range of remarkable commodities and special products sourced from the captivating Eastern Paradise of Indonesia. We launched our business this year with a primary focus on fishery commodities and spices. As part of our new expansion, we are seeking Sales and Marketing Commodity officers who will be responsible for overseeing the Sales and Marketing of Multi Commodity (Fishery and Spices) trading for B2B clients. The key responsibilities of this role include understanding customer requirements, creating, sending, and following up on proposals, preparing and following up on tenders, ensuring smooth order execution, and managing payment receipts. The officers will also be responsible for collaborating with internal functional teams, contributing to the development and delivery of proposals in response to business opportunities. Additionally, this role will be accountable for driving sales and business development across multiple regions.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  1. Identify sales prospects and contact these to realize the prospect and develop the business to meet the organization's growth strategy in terms of an agreement and closing sales successfully
  2. Lead a meeting with potential customers for new business - forward & backward market linkage
  3. Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made & present sales achievement - Target vs Actual in revenue generation
  4. Effective communicator and Negotiator with buyers to finalize deals & transactions to meet effective operations of order fulfillment - i.e. from order placement to delivery of goods and collection of payments from buyer
  5. Prepare presentations, proposals, marketing materials, and sales contracts and accumulate market intelligence from different sources
  6. Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge like product specifications, costing, and pricing of Agri/Spices and Fishery-commodities in the national and international market index
  7. Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
  8. Find & Create a buyer's network across geo through a multi-mode strategy - physically/digitally
  9. Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services and manage custom clearance, transportation
  10. Provide a weekly schedule of planned activities and prepare daily reports as per management directives
  11. Be able to demonstrate a full knowledge of all commodities for domestic and international markets, rationalize product portfolio to build competencies, relevant or unique selling points, and benefits in person, and via telephone calls, videoconferencing, and emails
  12. Maintain accurate records of all contracts, contacts with customers
  13. Build long-term partnerships with customers and manage buyer grievances
  14. Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and Trade lead generation across different regions
  15. Obtain confirmation of the order, procurement of goods and Agri/Spices, and fishery products
  16. Make strategic partnerships with suppliers/vendors and/or buyers
  17. Accountable for the addition of positive revenue generation and meeting the given target number assigned across multi-commodity trading business and assuming P&L responsibility

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES

-        Bachelor's degree in business management or marketing, or a related field with hands-on experience in multi-commodity trading business

-        Must have experience in profit making center

-        Must have prior experience in business development, marketing, and sales or multi-commodity trading

-        Excellent verbal and written communication in English

-        The ability to travel as needed.

-        The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

-        Excellent analytical, organization, problem-solving, and management skills.

-        Exceptional negotiation and decision-making skills.

-        Strong business acumen.

-        Detail-oriented.
