Coordinator - Transport Analyst
Program Background
Kemitraan Indonesia Australia untuk Infrastruktur (KIAT) is a partnership between the Government of Indonesia and Government of Australia to support sustainable and inclusive economic growth through improved access to infrastructure for all people in Indonesia. KIAT works with government partners, multilateral development banks (MDBs) and civil society providing technical assistance to improve infrastructure policy, planning and delivery. KIAT also works with sub-national governments to improve the quality of infrastructure spending and planning.
Through its work with central and sub-national governments, KIAT is working towards 4 End-of-Facility Outcomes (EOFOs):
1. Improved policies and regulations for infrastructure development
2. High quality projects prepared for financing by GOI, MDBs or the private sector.
3. High quality infrastructure delivery, management, and maintenance by GOI
4. Infrastructure policies, design and delivery are more inclusive for women and people with disabilities.
The focus of KIAT is on the following areas: Water and Sanitation; Transport; Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI); and Infrastructure Funding and Financing (IFF). KIAT is also expanding its infrastructure activities in the areas of climate change, urbanization and private sector participation.

The Role
The Coordinator - Transport Analyst will support the KIAT Transport team in the research, analysis, project management and stakeholder engagement for ongoing and new transport technical assistance activities. The Coordinator - Transport Analyst is expected to provide analytical support to the KIAT transport team, including data processing, analysis, visualisation, and GIS mapping, as well as information research on transport issues as part of the transport portfolio management. The Coordinator - Transport Analyst will work across KIAT’s Transport streams including National Roads, Sub-national Roads and Urban Mobility, and may interface where necessary with KIAT cross-cutting teams in Climate Change, and Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI). The position will also support work planning, contract management, financial management, procurement, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation as needed.

About You
Essential:
• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban and Regional Planning, Geographic Information Systems, Data Analytics, Urban Economics, Statistics or a related field demonstrating a strong quantitative and analytical understanding
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in transport analytics
• Proficiency in the use of analytical tools, including Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Access)
• Proficiency in the use of mapping tools, for example, ArcGIS or QGIS
• Ability to independently seek information on transport topics as directed
• Ability and/or interest in all or some sub-sectors, including aviation, ports, railways, roads and urban mobility
• Flexibility to travel around Indonesia to collect information and data as needed
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
• Good English language capabilities
• Understanding and experience of applying or a desire to learn and apply DFAT policies, including but not limited to GEDSI and safeguards such as Child Protection
• Self-motivated, innovative, creative and lateral thinking ability
• Willing to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to assist and support team members
Desirable:
• Ability to use data analytics and visualisation tools for example, Power BI and/or Tableau
• Familiarity with big data, data mining and machine learning models
• Master’s degree in a related discipline
• Available to start immediately

Remuneration
Successful Indonesian nationals will be engaged under a national contract in IDR and will be subject to Indonesian employment regulations and tax obligations.
