Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is a global health nonprofit that makes foundational changes to health systems to protect people from diseases and improve their health. MSH began working in Indonesia since 1980 with focus on improving child health, decentralizing health services, expanding access to care and treatment for TB dan strengthening pharmaceutical management. In 2023 MSH has awarded for USAID BEBAS TB the five-year activity having the aim of reducing TB incidence and mortality by supporting the Indonesian government to address the critical gaps and challenges of the TB program. This Activity will build on the work of previous USAID activities and current projects to achieve its goal. BEBAS-TB's support will focus on improving access and utilization to quality and patient centered comprehensive TB services. To achieve the objectives MSH will need Senior Multi-Drug Resistance (MDR) Tuberculosis Advisor
About the Job :
The Senior MDR TB Advisor responsibilities will include the overall technical direction of drug resistance tuberculosis related activities for the BEBAS-TB Activity. They will work closely with members of multidisciplinary senior advisors to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of interventions and with the MERL Director and the team to ensure progress is being achieved towards drug resistance tuberculosis. The Advisor is responsible for assuring a strong linkage between the public health and population approaches of technical assistance in TB, TB/HIV and MDR TB and will work closely with project , NTP, provincial, and district health offices to ensure a standard and integrated approach to build the capacity of health workers in public and private health facilities in diagnosing and treating drug resistance tuberculosis.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and managerial support, including capacity building, to BEBAS-TB provincial teams, provincial, district and PHCU level mentors as well as public and private health facilities of at all tier levels.
- Provide technical assistance to the NTP to introduce the new short term MDR-TB drugs in the country Provide technical assistance to the project and public and private sector counterparts in monitoring and evaluation of MDR-TB programs, case notification, infection control and improving the treatment adherence.
- Ensure timely data collection, collation and reporting of data. Represent MSH at NTP lead technical working groups related to drug resistance tuberculosis.
- Contribute to operational researches related to MDR-TB.

Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor, plus certificate in internal medicine or MPH or equivalent.
- Previous experience in MDR-TB technical support and/or management of patients
- Minimum 7 years of experience, including prior experience with TB, and MDR TB. 10 years preferred.
