We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of: Civil Society Financing Advisor for the Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project, led by FHI 360.
Position Description
Key Responsibilities
(a) Strategic Advisory and Planning
· Work closely with CSOs to understand their funding needs and challenges.
· Develop and recommend tailored funding strategies to ensure the sustainability of CSO programs.
· Identify and evaluate potential funding opportunities, including Government social contracting, private sector, and earned income opportunities.
(b) Capacity Building
· Organize and lead workshops, webinars, and training sessions for CSOs on sustainable financing models and fundraising strategies.
· Mentor CSO leaders in understanding and navigating the funding landscape.
· Support and guide selected local partners as they transition to direct USAID funding.
(c) Knowledge Sharing and Best Practices
· Research and document case studies of organizations in Indonesia that have successfully diversified their funding.
· Create resources, toolkits, and guidance documents to share insights and best practices.
(d) Stakeholder Engagement
· Engage with Government of Indonesia, private sector entities, and other potential financing sources to discuss and promote the needs of CSOs.
· Foster partnerships and collaborative initiatives to ensure equitable financing for CSOs.
(e) Monitoring and Reporting
· Track the success of implemented funding strategies and provide regular updates to CSOs, EpiC and other stakeholders.
· Document challenges, successes, and lessons learned in order to continuously refine approaches.
(f) Advocacy
· Represent the interests of CSOs in policy and strategy discussions at local, regional, and national levels.
· Collaborate with other experts in the field to advocate for equitable funding for HIV epidemic control.
Minimum Requirements
· A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, fundraising, or a related role within the HIV/health sector.
· Demonstrated experience in working with or within CSOs in Indonesia.
· Proven track record of successful fundraising or financial management in the health sector.
· Proficiency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
Candidates with a background in the Indonesian health and CSO sector, a strong understanding of the local context, and a wide network of contacts within the funding ecosystem will be given preference.
