Yayasan Indonesia Cerah (CERAH) is a non-profit organization in Indonesia that aims to promote the country's energy transition policy agenda. CERAH comprises experts in the energy sector, communication, and campaigning. They collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including the community, research institutions, the government, and private sector partners, to achieve their goals.
Sustainable Energy Transition Indonesia (SETI) is a consortium led by GIZ Indonesia that is focused on supporting Indonesia in reducing carbon emissions through the use of integrated renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) applications in energy consumption hotspots. SETI aims to demonstrate innovative technologies and successful business cases to the private sector, encouraging the replication of RE and EE approaches that will help boost Indonesia's global competitiveness. Finally, SETI aims to create learning networks anchored at local stakeholders and business associations to provide public knowledge, promote innovation, and facilitate the scaling up promising user cases.
As a SETI Consultant, the work of the employee will include:
1. Manage the gathering of information, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on the energy sector in Indonesia, as well as relevant policy changes;
2. Provide expert analysis to CERAH and its partners on sustainable energy and energy efficiency developments;
3. Build and maintain a diverse network of relevant partners and contacts in the energy sector in Indonesia;
4. Plan, prepared, and managed programs, events, and campaigns aimed at accelerating the rate of energy transition in Indonesia;
5. Assist the Sustainable Energy Transition Indonesia consortium with various tasks aimed at accelerating the rate of energy transition in Indonesia;
6. Perform any other relevant assignments as directed by the Team Leader/Project Lead.
Requirements:
● Fluent in English both written and oral with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in an NGO as part of a project team (preferably in the area of energy transition and renewable energy issues);
● Have the ability to think critically and strategically;
● Have the ability to present work plans and exposure to the public;
● Strong written and verbal communication skills;
● Familiarity with project operations and financial management;
● Having working experience with GIZ or donor-funded is an advantage.
The position is urgently required. The Consultant will report directly to the Team Leader, Yayasan Indonesia Cerah (CERAH). This position will be for 2 (two) months, from February to March 2024. The remuneration is a lump sum based on qualification, competency, and salary history.
