[newdevjobsindo] GIZ Indonesia for the Partnerships to accelerate the global energy transition (PACT) project: Junior Energy Advisor

Project Overview

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is implementing various energy projects under the umbrella of the Energy Programme Indonesia/ASEAN. These projects are commissioned by mainly the German government.

As part of our efforts in enhancing the impact and efficiency of our work in Indonesia, GIZ aims to improve the cohesiveness of projects within the Energy Programme. In addition, GIZ has set itself the goal of advising its partner countries on the wide range of international initiatives to meet the needs of the energy transition. Therefore, GIZ has initiated the project "Partnerships to accelerate the global energy transition" (PACT). Partnerships are intended to bring together the resources, expertise and services of international initiatives with GIZ's range of services, many years of experience and established relationships in the countries we work in. The Net Zero World (NZW) Initiative, which leverages expertise across U.S. government agencies and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratories in partnership with philanthropies, has extensive expertise and is a key building block here.

GIZ is keen on establishing a collaborative framework with Net Zero World (NZW), focusing on selected topics crucial to advancing Indonesia's energy transition goals. This collaboration will involve strategic partnerships and knowledge exchange, aimed at supporting the Indonesian government's objectives in achieving sustainable energy solutions and a net-zero future. This role will be pivotal in bridging GIZ's & NZW's expertise, resources, and innovative approaches, thereby enhancing the overall effectiveness of our interventions in the energy sector.
