As of September 2022, the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Indonesia (OUCRU Indonesia) operates in partnership with the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia after having been known as the Eijkman Oxford Clinical Research Unit (EOCRU) since 2008. OUCRU Indonesia is part of the Africa Asia Programme Vietnam, sponsored by the Wellcome Trust, and governed by the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, United Kingdom. OUCRU in Indonesia and Vietnam, along with their many local and international partners, conduct biomedical, clinical, and epidemiological research on infections impacting the health of people living in Southeast Asia and beyond.

 

In conducting their work in Indonesia, OUCRU ID is assisted by Alliance for Emerging and Re-emerging Disease Threats in Asia Foundation (ALERTAsia), a local foundation assisting in research grant management and capacity building for local researchers.

 

Through ALERTAsia we are seeking a qualified and experienced Accounting Manager to handle reporting requirements, including preparation of financial reporting packages for monthly and other incidental reports, supporting PI and colleagues in budgeting and forecasting processes, consolidation, and assisting statutory audit and tax requirements. You will ensure compliance to statutory and company policies, as well as continually explore ways to streamline and improve processes. S/he will report to the Head of Finance of OUCRU ID.  The worksite is the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia campus at Salemba in Central Jakarta.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Financial accounting:

1.     Oversight / Management of payment process.

2.     Validating all payments to follow the applicable policies and procedures with proper supporting documentation, approval signatures"

3.     Make sure correct imputation in the system

4.     Make sure timely payment of invoices in line with supplier payment terms.

5.     Overseeing D365 transactions to make sure correct finance dimension

6.     Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including production of a trial balance and balance accounts reconciliations.

7.     Undertake all regulatory reporting in line with government regulations, including tax reporting.

8.     Preparing Cash flow forecasting and performing advance account reconciliations.

 

Financial reporting and planning:

9.     Support the Head of Finance with management reporting to stakeholders. This will include expenditure forecasts.

10.  Prepare and communicate project financial reporting with Project Owners. This includes proactively reviewing and monitoring project budgets and spending and upcoming project end dates.

11.  Manage the financial information data system which is currently a download of data from the finance system.           

12.  Preparing monthly expenditures reports for donors/funders

13.  Overseeing and reviewing works done by the finance team

14. Any other tasks assigned by the Head of Finance.

 


Job Requirements:

 

Qualifications & Experiences (Must have):

·        Bachelor's degree and/or internationally recognized accounting qualification.

·        Holding a Brevet A & B certificate.

·        Five Years or more of accounting experience within a complex organization.

·        A solid knowledge of accounting principles.

·        Experience of Monthly and annual tax reporting.

·        An intermediate level knowledge of MS Excel.

·        In-depth knowledge of Indonesian Income tax regulation.

·        Good command of English.

·        Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.

·        Good time and management skills.

·        Great analytical thinking, creative, detail oriented and well organized.

·        Ability to prioritize and meet the deadline.

·        Strong communication and presentation skills

·        Energetic, disciplined, honest and responsible.

·        Ability to work in a team environment.

·        Work in a fast paced and professional environment.

 

Desirable Criteria

·        Experienced in Non Profit sectors.

·        Detail-oriented personality.

·        Dynamix 365 accounting software experience.

·        Google sheet knowledge.

 

 

Benefits:

The selected candidate will initially receive a 12 months' contract with a possibility to receive a contract extension. Remuneration package that includes annual leave, sick leave, THR, compensation money, optional private medical cover, BPJS Kesehatan, and not to mention fully paid income tax and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (JAMSOSTEK). The salary shall be competitive.
