As of September 2022, the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Indonesia (OUCRU Indonesia) operates in partnership with the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia after having been known as the Eijkman Oxford Clinical Research Unit (EOCRU) since 2008. OUCRU Indonesia is part of the Africa Asia Programme Vietnam, sponsored by the Wellcome Trust, and governed by the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, United Kingdom. OUCRU in Indonesia and Vietnam, along with their many local and international partners, conduct biomedical, clinical, and epidemiological research on infections impacting the health of people living in Southeast Asia and beyond.

 

In conducting their work in Indonesia, OUCRU ID is assisted by Alliance for Emerging and Re-emerging Disease Threats in Asia Foundation (ALERTAsia), a local foundation assisting in research grant management and capacity building for local researchers.

 

Through ALERTAsia we are seeking a qualified and experienced Payroll Officer to prepare and process payrolls for employees within the organization, checking, controlling the process to ensure an efficient, accurate payroll process, BPJS process, tax process, data input, reporting to funders whenever required.  S/he will report to the Head of Finance of OUCRU ID.  The worksite is the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia campus at Salemba in Central Jakarta.

 

 

Responsibilities:

1.     Timely and accurately processing the payroll calculation, ensuring there are best practice checks and controls in the process to ensure an efficient, accurate payroll process, BPJS process and Tax process.

2.     Prepare and submit Income tax reports.

3.     Ensure compliance with Payroll tax and BPJS obligations.

4.     Input and ensure that all payroll expenses are posted in D365 accurately.

5.     Ensure all payroll queries are handled in a timely and professional manner.

6.     Whenever applicable, to ensure appropriate authorization of overtime sheets, timesheets, and changes to payroll data.

7.     Ensure there is always confidentiality of payroll and employee information.

8.     Keep up to date with payroll legislative changes.

9.     Monitor the fluctuation of payroll charges to each project.

10.  Liaise with HR and other functions as required. 

 

 

Job Requirements:

 

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.

·        Required language(s): English.

·        Preferably minimum 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is for this position.

·        Brevet A&B Certification is a must .

·        In-depth experience and knowledge of Indonesian Income taxes and Handling BPJS.

·        Have experiences in handling foreign clients.

·        Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills.

·        Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

·        Experience in payroll software.

 

Preferred Skills

·        Fluent in English Language would be a plus.

·        Experience in handling, BPJS, Employment Contract, Payroll, human resources.

·        Knowledge of Indonesian labour laws and regulations (UU Cipta Kerja dan Tenaga Kerja Manpower Regulation).

·        Experience with the Payroll System.

·        Able to work on multiple tasks and under pressure.

·        Hard worker person, energetic, disciplined, honest and responsible.

·        Creative, detail oriented and well organized.

·        Work in a fast paced and professional environment.

 

 

Benefits:

The selected candidate will initially receive a 12 months' contract with a possibility to receive a contract extension. Remuneration package that includes annual leave, sick leave, THR, compensation money, optional private medical cover, BPJS Kesehatan, and not to mention fully paid income tax and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (JAMSOSTEK). The salary shall be competitive.
