Background
The ASEAN Youth Forum (AYF) is a regional movement that represents and advocates for young people's human rights and freedoms in ASEAN. AYF has been a platform of the youth in the ASEAN to raise their voice and claim for their rights for a sustainable, inclusive, people-centered, and youth-driven regional community.
The network aims to institutionalize and establish its national chapters to focus the engagement on important and timely local issues affecting Southeast Asian youth, and consolidate policy proposals and agenda to put forward to the relevant ASEAN offices.
Currently ASEAN Youth Forum is looking for enthusiastic young people for the following position: Regional Program Coordinator
Role and Responsibilities:
Oversee and leading the comprehensive efforts involved in building the AYF movement
Provide oversight and collaborate with the Advocacy Division, Community Outreach Division, and relevant teams to facilitate the growth of the AYF movement.
Ensure an integrated vision and strategies among different components and actors and a focus on achieving the development of AYF movement
Lead in forging strong relationships and builds supportive networks with relevant stakeholders and managing communication about the AYF Secretariat and program implementation that support the improvement of AYF movement
Qualification and Criteria:
Young people based in Southeast Asia
Demonstrate expertise in fostering movements
Possess experience in engaging in regional human rights initiatives
Able to do collaborative work with the team and relevant stakeholders to advance the AYF movement.
Posses strong initiative
Individuals from marginalized communities are strongly encouraged to apply
