[newdevjobsindo] YGSI Vacancy - RHRN2 SPO

IMMEDIATELY REQUIRED

SENIOR PROGRAM OFFICER OF RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW 2

Full-time-Service Contract with possibility extension, Jakarta based, 1 (0ne) Position.

About Yayasan Gemilang Sehat Indonesia (YGSI)

Yayasan Gemilang Sehat Indonesia (YGSI) formerly Rutgers Indonesia (RID) is the center of expertise on sexual and reproductive health and rights. For many years, we have been working to improve the SRHR in Indonesia with our strong partners in the Netherlands and Africa. YGSI works to address various challenges and problems faced by young people regarding their sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing. Together with our partners, we develop intervention models to increase knowledge and strengthen systems that promote, uphold, and fulfill human rights.  We develop comprehensive sexual and reproductive health education and services for adolescents and young people.

To ensure sustainable changes, we join efforts with key actors in non-government sectors, faith-based organizations, and professional associations, to strengthen the Government of Indonesia's efforts to improve the SRHR in Indonesia.  Most importantly, we partner with young people to address issues that matter in their lives.

About Right Here Right Now 2 (RHRN2) Project

The five-year program is expected to see: young people having access to information, education, and services; to be able to make their choices free from stigma, discrimination, and violence; and to experience pleasure. Far from being a homogenous group, young people are a diverse population in which multiple categories of difference – age, gender, sexual orientation, class, ability, ethnicity – intersect to reflect interlocking systems of social privilege and discrimination. The SRHR of young people in all their diversity can only be achieved if we focus on taboo issues such as comprehensive sexuality education, safe abortion, and SOGIESC (sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and sex characteristics). We seek to amplify young people's voices and strengthen the agency of marginalized groups including girls, young women, and young LGBTI. We strive for gender justice, meaning equity and equality between genders in all spheres of life. Our approach will imply actively analyzing, questioning, and attempting to change rigid gender norms and imbalances of power as a means of achieving SRHR objectives, as well as gender equality objectives. It requires affirmative action and allows for redress and accountability in cases of injustice.
