Corus International seeks to recruit the following positions to implement their Multisectoral Collaboration for Inclusive Health and Opportunities for Women's Accelerator (MECIHO-A) and SHARE (She Recycles, She Earns: Building A Brighter Future for Women) in Kabanjahe, Karo regency, North Sumatera in Indonesia. Both MECIHO-A and SHARE project are complemented to each other, where the overall goal is to directly empower women and improve the health, hygiene, and living conditions of households and communities in Karo. The project will be benefitting over 14,000 women and man to improve their capacity health, hygiene, and income diversification. The project will be started on the first October 2024 for 40 months. The positions will be based in Kabanjahe, Karo, North Sumatera.
SENIOR PROJECT OFFICER-JOB ID:3470677
Reporting to the Program Director, the Senior Project Officer (SPO) will be responsible for field-based aspects of the MECIHO-A and SHARE projects. S/he will ensure the overall project implementation as planned, build network with project stakeholder in village, regency as well as provincial level; representing Corus in the project location with relevant networks, peer organizations, local communities and the host government; identify and coordinate possible approaches for project sustainability.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Provide technical guidance to project staffs related to implementation of the projects in accordance with project design to ensure objectives are met within the required time frames and budgets
• Work with field staffs in developing work plans (including ToR), implementation schedules, and reporting timelines in conjunction with Program Director
• Ensure that project activities are implemented based on plan, report any delay and recommend any possible approaches to make the project provide better impact to community
• Monitor budget spending at activities/outputs level and notify any action needed to respond to budget spending
• Ensure the project report and all their monitoring meet required standard
• Take initiative and provide recommendations for project approaches based on updated information or situation in community
• Initiate and strengthen relationships with host government authorities, peer organizations and private sector actors in the regency
• Identify and develop relationships with people, organizations and institutions that can enrich projects through participating in relevant networks, forums and other coordination and learning spaces
• Represent Corus International to authorities, peers, and other key strategic audiences in Karo regency
Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Agriculture or related field is required; master's degree is an added advantage
• Minimum five (5) years progressive work experience in community development, small medium enterprise assistance, facilitation in managing and implementing program that related to women empowerment and business development
• Knowledge of program cycle including design, monitoring and evaluating development projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with local government, community groups and other stakeholder
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and web browser software

Reporting to the Project Officer, the Project Associate (PA) will be responsible for organizing activities at villages level, ensuring the activities executed based on planned, project implementation and maintaining good relationship and networking with project stakeholders
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Based on project workplan timeline and budget, implement each activity of the project
• Ensure that community and village government are well-informed on project activities
• Assist community groups on a regular basis, ensure their capacity improvement as well as their networking
• Identify the potential opportunity for community (groups) based on information/communication with relevant stakeholders at village and regency level
• Provide recommendations to PO/SPO for project approaches based on updated information or situation in the community
• Ensure that all activities are documented accordingly, including but not limited to photos and stories
• Responsible in project beneficiaries' data entry/update
• Monitor trainer/facilitator assignments and provide feedback to the Project Officer accordingly
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Economic, Social Sciences, Agriculture or any other relevant field
Minimum two (2) years progressive experience in community development, small medium enterprise assistance, facilitation in managing and implementing program that related to women empowerment and business development
Demonstrate ability to work effectively with local government, community groups and other stakeholder
Proficiency in Computers including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail and web browser software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proficiency in English both oral and written
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Understanding local culture is desirable
