PROJECT OFFICER 


Yayasan Indonesia Cerah ("CERAH") is a non-profit organization established on 11 October 2018. The organization focuses on the issues of clean energy and the environment. CERAH promotes the narrative of shifting Indonesia's policy in energy transition as a leader in providing strategic communication to amplify key messages in the narrative of clean energy and its transition in Indonesia, cultivating and enhancing stakeholder engagement and providing recommendations to policymakers.


CERAH has been collaborating with multiple stakeholders and prominent figures, the media, and civil society organisations to educate and raise awareness, highlighting issues such as good governance and corruption, air pollution and the health impact of energy choices and renewable energy future and how that affects lifestyle and jobs.


CERAH will implement the Just Transition Strategic Communications Project. The project aims to strengthen a "Just Energy Transition" narrative in Indonesia based on transparency and inclusive participation and focusing on the green transition's environmental, financial, social, and technical aspects. To achieve this goal, the project will develop an evidence-based framing that can help facilitate discussions and public discourses. Moreover, the project will support the capacity building of communities, civil society organizations, and media, making it easier for them to engage with multiple parties and have a more significant impact


Tasks and Responsibilities:


Program Management Duties

  • Support Project Manager in project management, including managing calendar activities, drafting ToR and narrative reports, ensuring timely submission, providing inputs in initial reviews, and checking the report's compliance.

  • Actively involved in every meeting and activity related to the program, including conducting field visits to the target areas .

  • Assist the project manager in managing correspondence and information flow on program implementation, as well as both internal and external relationships (including with other organizations, media, and/or KOLs).

  • Work alongside the Project Manager who supports the workstream lead of Green and Equitable Energy Transition (GEET) WS and team, backing each other up and collaborating as needed on workflows.    

  • Assist in preparing presentations and other materials for the Project Manager. 

  • Undertaking light research and compiling the information acquired from project activities into analytics tools and preparing charts and other relevant information.

  • Build relationships and coordinate with other strategic parties such as the community, experts, residents, program partners, as well as other third parties that can support program objectives.

  • Perform any other task (s) as assigned by the Project Manager/Executive Director.


Financial and Administrative Duties

  • Book necessities regarding traveling (including travel tickets, arrangements, request, advance, accountability for occurring expenses, and reporting) and coordinate this subject with CERAH's Operations team.

  • Monitor and track budgeting expenditures of the project and ensure they are in line with the approved budget. 

  • Prepare administrative documents that are necessary for reporting for funders. 

  • Ensure that the budget is aligned with project objectives and deliverables.

  • Supporting procurement process for goods and services related to the program, including drafting the RFP/RFQ, participating in the vetting process, and ensuring compliance in administrative processes (contract, invoicing, and payment).

  • In conjunction with CERAH's operations team, help maintain and update the information in the internal filing system.

  • Working closely with the Operations team in gathering the necessary documentation to comply with internal CERAH's and the funder's rules and regulations.

  • Participate in meetings and take minutes of meetings as required.

  • As liaison officer connecting CERAH's Operations team and funder. 

  • Organize events together with CERAH's operation team on the logistical needs, invitations, RSVP, collecting receipts for financial accountability, and other tasks involving the organizational aspects.

Requirements:

  1. Candidates must be passionate about energy transition and environmental issues, in particular climate change;

  2. Candidates must live in the Jabodetabek area, as coordination meetings will be held in CERAH's office in Tebet, South Jakarta regularly;

  3. Preferably have a minimum of three (3) years of work at a Non-Governmental Organisation or other non-profit institutions at the national or international level. Experience in managing multi-donor projects is an advantage;

  4. Ability to work independently and remotely to achieve results based on agreed-upon goals and timelines;

  5. Strong attention to detail and to work under pressure to meet deadlines;

  6. Ability to think strategically and conduct coordination and dialogues with multi-stakeholders across project implementation levels;

  7. Excellent command of English and Indonesian, both orally and in writing. In particular, possess the ability to write and compile Terms of References (ToR), minutes, and reports;

  8. Familiar with working under log frame, theory of change/action, and monitoring & evaluation system;

  9. Have no issue in traveling to target areas of the project (South Sumatera and East Kalimantan);

  10. High cultural awareness and sensitivity to work effectively in diverse and multicultural environments. 

Duration and Fee:

The position will hold a fixed-term contract of twelve (12) months. The remuneration will be based on qualification, competency, and salary history. We will cover personal income tax, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, BPJS Kesehatan, and private insurance.
