Yayasan Indonesia Cerah ("CERAH") is a non-profit organization established in 2018. The organization focuses on the issues of clean energy and the environment. CERAH promotes the narrative of shifting Indonesia's policy in energy transition as a leader in providing strategic communication to amplify key messages in the narrative of clean energy and its transition in Indonesia, cultivating and enhancing stakeholder engagement and providing recommendations to policymakers.

CERAH has been collaborating with multiple stakeholders and prominent figures, the media, and civil society organisations to educate and raise awareness, highlighting issues such as good governance and corruption, air pollution and the health impact of energy choices and renewable energy future and how that affects lifestyle and jobs.

CERAH will implement the Just Transition Strategic Communications Project. The project aims to strengthen a "Just Energy Transition" narrative in Indonesia based on transparency and inclusive participation and focusing on the green transition's environmental, financial, social, and technical aspects. To achieve this goal, the project will develop an evidence-based framing that can help facilitate discussions and public discourses. Moreover, the project will support the capacity building of communities, civil society organizations, and media, making it easier for them to engage with multiple parties and have a more significant impact.

One of them is through the Transisi Energi Berkeadilan ID (TEB.ID) platform, a knowledge hub website that aims to become the main source of information related to just energy transition issues in Indonesia. 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Write in-depth reports, news, and articles on just energy transition (JET) issues in Indonesia, analyze trends, come up with topics, and create compelling stories regarding the issue of JET  in Bahasa Indonesia and English for TEB.ID.

2. Collaborate with the team (Chief Editor, Editor, and  Project Manager) to brainstorm and produce ideas for the website. 

3. Write and optimize articles using SEO best practice for our TEB.ID website

4. Proofread and revise copy to ensure grammar and spelling excellence

Requirements:

1. Candidates must have a passion for writing and researching a diverse range of interrelated issues.

2. Candidates with at least 1-2 years of experience in research and academic writing are preferred. Fresh graduates may also be accepted if you are willing to research and write a lot. 

3. Excellent command of the Bahasa Indonesia and English language, both written and oral.

4. Have good organizational skills and work with a global network with the ability to work remotely under minimum supervision.

Duration and Fee:

The employee will report directly to the Chief Editor, Editor, and Project Manager of Yayasan Indonesia Cerah (CERA) with a fixed-term contract of 6 months from 11 November 2024 to 11 May 2025 (with a possible extension for another 6 months based on the performance of the first 6 months). The remuneration will be lump sum and based on qualification and competency.
