The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is an international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations. The Multi-Donor Action "ASEAN EU-German Climate Action Programme" (CAP) contributes to the sustainable transition of the ASEAN region. It is jointly co-financed by the European Union (EU) and the BMZ, implemented by GIZ in close cooperation with the ASEAN Secretariat and the ASEAN Working Group on Climate Change (AWGCC). It focuses on strengthening ASEAN structures and processes to make climate policy more effective and contributes to anchoring climate policy issues more systematically in ASEAN policy documents, particularly the NDCs implementation, promoting individual, and institutional capacity and interlink regional and national climate policies and initiatives.
