In Indonesia, GIZ's Energy Transition Cluster / Energy Programme Indonesia acts as trusted partner and technical advisor to the Government of Indonesia for the transition towards a sustainable energy system.
The Energy Transition Cluster of GIZ Indonesia works across five thematic areas:

- Industry decarbonisation

- Just Energy Transition
The advisor for RE and EE in the Built Environment is responsible for the technical, substantive and organisational implementation of projects measures and activities in the field of green building technologies, energy efficiency and sustainable urban planning.
In consultation with your line manager, you also assume tasks related to planning, steering and monitoring the project or individual outputs. You are also responsible for providing specialist support to colleagues in band 2 and 3 and ensure the quality of the commission's outcomes.
You make technical and substantive contributions to overarching issues in cooperation with commissioning parties/clients, partners and other actors and thereby support the achievement of the agreed objectives of the respective project(s) under the same topic.
To support the thematic area, we seek one (1) motivated and qualified Indonesian candidate for:
- Join the Energy Transition Cluster advisor team and contribute to the area of industrial decarbonization and built environment.
- develop and maintain partner relationships and their active engagement in different project phases
- provide technical support on energy efficiency and green building technologies
- expand network in relevant sectors to support smooth implementation of project
- synergize with other projects or other developing partners to achieve common goals
- manage knowledge gathered during implementation of activities in collaboration with energy transition cluster team members
- ensure in and external communication of the results and impacts of the implemented activities in collaboration with the energy transition cluster leadership team in different forms in front of different audiences
- University degree in engineering, architecture, geography, urban planning or other relevant field
- At least 5 year working experience in renewable energy, development cooperation and/or relevant private sector companies
- Deep understanding of the renewable energy and energy efficiency private sector landscape in Indonesia and internationally
- Strong network with the Indonesian and global renewable energy and energy efficiency private sector
- Stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills (English and Bahasa Indonesia)
- Outstanding conceptual and strategic thinking skills
- Previous experience in procurement and steering of external international and consultants
