 The Kemitraan Kerja Foundation was established in 2016 by the ILO Better Work Indonesia Programme as a sustainability strategy to ensure the continuation of the program's successful initiatives. Since 2017, Kemitraan Kerja Foundation has been the exclusive implementing partner of Better Work Indonesia Programme.
Better Work is a unique partnership between the UN's International Labour Organization (ILO) and the World Bank Group's International Finance Corporation (IFC). Launched in 2007, the programme aims to improve compliance with labour standards and competitiveness in global supply chains.

 POSITION DESCRIPTION
Kemitraan Kerja Foundation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Enterprise Advisor for the implementation of the Better Work Indonesia (BWI) Programme in Indonesia. This position involves providing professional advisory, assessment and training to BWI's member factories.
He/She conducts independent enterprise level assessments against labour standards and provisioning enterprise level consultancy services to support remediation and enterprise improvement through facilitate dialogue between workers and employers.
 The Enterprise Advisor works under direct coordination of the Enterprise Advisors Team Leader. Guidance and advice on technical or procedural aspects of the work are provided as required. Judgment, initiative and creativity are required in translating project tools and approaches at the enterprise level. The Team Leader reviews the work to ensure technical soundness and appropriateness.
This position is for Indonesian Nationals only, based in Central Java and DI Yogyakarta area.
Roles and responsibilities:
1.       Independently conduct enterprise assessment of labour standards and management systems at the enterprise level;
2.       Provide technical advice, capacity building and input to the factories using facilitation techniques, aimed at improving working conditions and strengthening social dialogue through the advisory and learning engagement model;
3.       Produce high standard reports in English and Bahasa Indonesia on
(i)       assessments findings,
(ii)     recommendations for improvement,
(iii)    enterprise improvement plans and
(iv)    progress reports on implementation; under supervision of the assigned peers or Team Leaders.
4.       Contribute to the project's monitoring and evaluation strategy, research agenda and knowledge management strategy, and technical progress reporting;
5.       Contribute to the financial sustainability strategy by encouraging  enterprise participation, optimizing the use of internal resources, and maintaining a result-oriented approach to planning and implementation.
 
Required Qualifications and Experience
q Education
·       First level university degree in human resource management, business management, adult education, international development, law or other relevant fields, or equivalent in experience
q Experience
·       At least 4 (four) years of professional experience in a capacity building role.
·       Familiar with factory environment, and/or exposure to the Indonesian garment industry is an advantage.
·       Good knowledge of the Indonesian labour law and regulations;
·       Understanding of enterprise level human resource, production and quality systems;
·       Good understanding of corporate social responsibility and labour compliance issues in global supply chains;
·       Experience in supporting capacity-building initiatives, including identifying training needs, coordinating with training providers, and facilitating learning sessions to strengthen workplace practices.
·       Good understanding of principles of gender equality and principles of equal opportunity and how these can be promoted as part the responsibilities of the post;
q Languages
·       Excellent command of English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and spoken
Required Competencies:
·       Good analytical skills;
·       Good communications skills, both oral and written;
·       Good facilitation, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to guide constructive discussions with enterprise representatives to support the remediation of non-compliance issues, and to contribute to capacity-building initiatives through group-based learning and workplace training;
·       Experience in industrial relations and building social dialogue between management and worker representatives at the workplace is an advantage;
·       Strong knowledge of Indonesian labour laws and regulations, with a solid understanding of corporate social responsibility and labour compliance issues in global supply chains;
·       Ability to work in a multicultural environment and to demonstrate gender-sensitive, inclusive, and non-discriminatory behavior, with a good understanding of gender equality and equal opportunity principles;
·       Self-motivated and ability to work independently in an outcomes-based work culture as well as contributing to the work of a team; and
·       Capacity to sensitively liaise and network with a range of stakeholders including staff, donors, international buyers, government officials, management, unions and NGOs.
