SurfAid is a non-profit organization which aims to improve the health, wellbeing and self-reliance of people living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing. SurfAid is currently working in a few locations in Indonesia: Mentawai Island District in West Sumatera, and Sumba Barat and Rote Ndao Districts in NTT. We work in the areas that are considered the most remote, with limited infrastructure and few community empowerment programs working there.
SurfAid will launch the ONE ROTE MALOLE Program in October 2025, targeting communities in six villages across four sub-districts in Rote Ndao to provide an integrated program consisting of sustainable access to clean water and sustainable nutrition agriculture.
We are looking for an experienced and resourceful person with a positive "CAN DO" attitude to join the team as our:
FIELD MERL OFFICER
As part of the Programs Team, the Field MERL Officer is responsible for producing reliable data (both quantitative and qualitative) according to the SurfAid standard.
THE PERSON:
You have an independent personality who loves to work collaboratively in a team. Have analytical skills and be able to work with multiple external stakeholders. You are an open minded person, who is interested in remote areas and communities, ready to travel to and live in remote areas with limited facilities.
THE QUALIFICATION :
Minimum Bachelor's degree from any relevant majors: statistics, economy, math or public health
3 years' experience M&E in Development sector
Adept in quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting
Demonstrated excellence in using MS Excel, MS Access, or other tools to manage, analyse and visualize
Excellent knowledge of specialized data analysis/statistical software
Experienced working with multiple external stakeholders
Independent personality who loves to work in a team
Demonstrated skill in training / coaching others
"CAN DO"- attitude with critical thinking
Strong writing skills for reporting
