The Indonesian Institute for Energy Economics (IIEE) was established in 1995 with the primary objective of enhancing energy economics studies that motivate and support national policies for the prudent development and utilization of energy resources in Indonesia. IIEE focuses its work on energy economics, related policy, and the respective implementations. IIEE is well respected for its independent studies and active role in key policy processes.
We are looking for a Junior Researcher to join our research team in Jakarta. This role suits individuals with a strong interest in energy, economics, and environmental issues who are eager to grow in a research environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, majoring in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Physics, Development Economics, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, or Environment; Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in research activities.
- Strong interest and familiarity with energy economics, energy policy, and environmental issues.
- Good understanding and capability in conducting technical analysis and research-related assessments.
- Perform data input and collection, and assist with analysis and management of data infrastructure
- Ability to prepare and write academic and professional reports.
- Proficient in computer applications (Microsoft Apps & Google Apps (especially to establish formulas, Pivot Tables, and Data Validation), Design Apps, online forms/surveys, etc. Understanding the basics of SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (such as Looker Studio/Power BI) will be an advantage.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
