Food Smart City Programme Coordinator  

Based in Denpasar, Bali Province  

  

Job Overview:  

  

The FSC Programme Coordinator responsible to implement the food system in general and the Food Smart City-programme of Rikolto in Indonesia and as part of SEA team he/she is expected to contribute in the development of Food Smart City Programme in Indonesia according to the FSC strategy. He/she pro-actively represents Rikolto in Indonesia on a local, national and international level as necessary. Under the supervision of FSC Cluster Director of South East Asia (SEA), the FSC Programme Coordinator plays a pro-active role in the Rikolto Food Smart City-cluster in favour of implementation of FSC Programme activities in Country level. He/she performs as an expert in the food system and the Food Smart City-concept, with particular attention to sustainable practices.   

  

In line with the respective donors/partners and in coordination with his/her line manager, he/she takes the responsibility to implement these programmes in collaboration with other Rikolto staff members and relevant partners including with related local and national government.  

  

Responsibility:  

  

1.     Implement the FSC Programme  

  • Developing and planning the activities for the FSC Programme with partners and other relevant stakeholders according to the agreed programme and ensure good deliverables of programme output is in line with respected timeline.   
  • Coordinating the Food Smart City-program with other Rikolto's program components to ensure overall program complementarity and synergy.  
  • Facilitating business links between partner organizations/groups and the private actors, healthy food processors (restaurants, school canteens, hotels and catering services), consumer groups, decision makers and commodity networks;  
  • Contributing the development and use of FSC budget, and ensure its administration and financial report is in line with the policy and procedures of Rikolto and respective donors;  
  • Contributing in programme development and actively seeking new ideas, initiatives to expand the programme with close coordination with FSC Cluster Director SEA/line manager  
  • Pro-active provide feedback and initiate solutions to improve the programme implementation.  
  • Exploring and proposing innovations in the project design, partnership and way of working towards sustainable food system;  

  

2.     M&E and Reporting  

  • Monitoring and evaluation of the FSC programme implementation, progress and achievements following the M&E tools, methods provided by M&E team at the global level.  
  • Collecting and analysing program related data according to the M&E standards;  
  • Producing programmes reports regularly, integrating inputs from partners, BDS providers, and present them to the FSC Cluster Director SEA /Line manager.   
  • Contributing to Rikolto's knowledge management and learning initiative: sharing and exchange knowledge, best practices within the SEA hub teams to ensure complementarities and synergy. 
      

3.         Team Management and Operations  

    • Set a growing path by continuously asses his/her own work performance progress with necessary supervision from FSC Cluster Director SEA, actively seeking learning opportunities within the programme team member.  
    • Operations (finance, HR, Administration) are well respected and implemented consistently.  

  

4.         Cluster and Stakeholder Management  

    • Represent Rikolto Indonesia for FSC Programme under the direction of Cluster Director, might be involved in the FSC global agenda (meetings, workshop, etc)  
    • Identifying and developing partnerships with relevant stakeholders (FSC initiatives,  related government, etc) for concrete collaboration to scale up the project results;  
    • Building and making use of networks in the food system at the local, national and international level;  
    • Identifying and developing partnerships with relevant stakeholders for concrete collaboration to scale up the program results; include participate in dialogues on food system and relevant agricultural chain development among stakeholders;  
    • Contribute to identify opportunities in the related sector including potential partners, markets, business models and potentially new products;

Requirement:   

  

Education & Experience:  

  • Degree in Food system / science, Agriculture, Agronomy, Economics, Environmental Sciences and Business or equivalent.  
  • Min of. 3 (three) years progressive experience in programme development of Food system aspects,  rural and sector development, agricultural development or equivalent;  
  • Ability to engage with intercultural organisation work environment, diversity

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the integrity of accounting system. Experience closing monthly accounting books is essential. You will be preparing financial reports, budgets, cost reports and financial forecasts.  Maintaining chart of accounts, tracks and review expenditure against set budgets, analyze business performance/results, providing feedback to senior management.
  2. Maintaining and ensuring that all relevant legal and tax procedures/permits are complied with.
  3. Administering transfers and payments to third parties.
  4. Coordinating and preparing annual budgets, including operating and capital expenditure budgets with accuracy and timeliness.
  5. You will be responsible for all purchases and payments.
  6. Coordinates with Kitchen and Restaurant Managers to ensure supplies are always available.
  7. Prepares budget and funding allocations for vocational programs.
  8. Will coordinate with Accounting Dept of Amicorp Community Foundation.

 Requirements:

  2. At least a S-1 degree in Accounting and 4-5 years of professional experience in Finance & Accounting, including experience as the Head of these areas.
  3. Excellent oral and writtenin English and Indonesian.
  4. Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  6. Good knowledge of Indonesian tax law is a must.
  7. Familiar with MYOB, Quick Time or any other accounting systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching Social Entrepreneurship to Amisewaka's students.  Basic bookkeeping, project management with an eye to social projects, how to organize a small business project.
  2. Classes will be held once a week for 1 hour in the beginning. There are sixty students and you will have a maximum of 20 students per class.
  3. Creating a one year curriculum with an emphasis on the students learning skills that will help them create their own social project from a business perspective.
  4. Willingness to integrate Living Values Education into your teachings.
  5. Working with our partners at Fontys Business College in Holland who will be mentoring our students both on line as well as face-to-face in the second semester.

 Requirements:

Background

The Habibie Center (THC) was founded in 1999 by the third Indonesian President, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie and family as a non-profit and independent think tank organization, with the mission to establish a structurally and culturally democratic society that recognizes, respects, and promotes human rights, and to increase the effectiveness of human resources management and the socialization of technology.

The Habibie Center is seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to support the expansion and development of its ASEAN Studies program. S/he will be based in Jakarta and work as part of our core research team.

Tasks and Responsibilities

·         Conduct research and manage information about ASEAN and East Asia related issues

·         Write publications on ASEAN and East Asia-related issues.

·         Draft policy briefs (in English), together with the core team, on ASEAN and East Asia related issues

·         Identify speakers and target audience, prepare Terms of References and take responsibility for the proceedings including administrative issues.

·         Liaise with different stakeholders such as embassies, government agencies, universities, consultants, media, and other external partners.

·         Organize public dialogues and other international events on ASEAN and East Asia related issues

·         Provide input and assistance in determining relevant and current issues related to ASEAN and East Asia

·         Represent The Habibie Center in ASEAN related forums, seminars, workshops, and other events in Jakarta and the region, online and offline, and prepare a brief written report.

·         Complete all deliverables as part of ongoing projects as well as contribute to securing future projects.

·         Assisting The Habibie Center with other program activities/events when the need arises.

Requirements

 

·         At least a master's degree, with relevant experience in international relations, international politics, international economics, regional studies, or other related disciplines with some previous experiences in related fields; Strong knowledge of climate change or democracy is an advantage.

·         Strong knowledge about regional integration issues especially in the ASEAN region, and keep updated with general news, discourses, and events regarding the ASEAN Community and ASEAN countries.

·         Experience in a similar role, specifically in writing policy briefs, academic articles, and op-ed (in English and Bahasa Indonesia).

·         Experience in building relationships and connecting with various stakeholders, including local and international research organizations, governments, and NGOs.

·         Experience in organizing international events such as public dialogue and international seminars (offline, online, and hybrid), with ability to handle administrative issues.

·         Experience in project planning and management, from developing concept note/proposal to implementation, and reporting phases

·         Strong research skills in both qualitative and quantitative methods is an advantage.

·         Solid organizational skills, with a proven ability to prioritize projects with attention to detail.

·         A great team player, have integrity, professional discretion, and ability to interact effectively with diverse partners.

·         Fluency in spoken and written English.
