The World Agroforestry (also known as ICRAF) in Southeast Asia is the region's leading agroforestry research-in-development organization which generates science-based knowledge about the complex role trees play in agricultural landscapes and rural livelihoods. As part of the Centre's work to bring tree-based solutions to bear on poverty and environmental problems, researchers – working in close collaboration with partners – are developing new technologies, tools and policy recommendations for increased food security and ecosystem health.

 

The Centre's headquarters are located in Nairobi, Kenya, and research is conducted in 34 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. We are supported by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and receive funding from over 50 different donors.

About the position

Under the guidance of Graphic Designer and Publisher, the position will assist the preparation of publications and event material under ICRAF Indonesia Country Programme. The position is expected to provide technical support in implementing project's design and branding guideline for several bilateral projects in ICRAF Indonesia.

Requirements

·       A BSc with at 1 year of relevant experience, preferably on visual communication.

·       Minimum of 1-year experience in graphic designer and publishing work. Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply.

·       Experience with photography and photo editing; knowledge of photo editing software is an advantage.

·       Knowledge and experience with communication through popular social media platform such as Instagram, Youtube and Twitter is an advantage.

 

Personal Competencies

·       Demonstrates initiative, explore the creativity designing principles, skills and other aspects, i.e.

·       High proficiency in computer and technical design skill to support graphic design work

·       Has conscientious, good sense of art and creative idea

·       Has high speed of working with tight deadline of various types of products

·       Sharp attention to detail for troubleshooting errors

·       Computer literate (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, or any office application).

·       Basic administrative and documentation skills.

·       Well organized; able to meet deadlines, good understanding of time management.

·       Proactive and self-motivated, able to work independently as well as in a team.

·       Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in multi-cultural teams.

·       Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills (Indonesian and English).
