Yayasan Indonesia Bhadra Utama (IBU Foundation) is focused on strengthening community empowerment, research and two-ways policy engagement, in poverty alleviation, maternal and child health, early childhood development as well as disaster risk reduction programs.
IBU Foundation (IBU) is currently responding to the earthquake in West Sulawesi by sending the trained volunteers and staff to implement Psychosocial support and Non-Food Items (NFI) distribution, including medical services to people affected in West Sulawesi through programs which is titled "Rumah Kencana" – Ruang Ramah Anak Paska Bencana. The project duration is for 1,5 month to fill the gaps the emergency response from the government and other humanitarian organization.IBU is seeking a Medical Doctor that will support the effective and efficient implementation of the project in providing medical/health outreach activities including health promotion to the people affected, especially to women and children.
This position will directly report to the Project Manager. In addition, the successful candidate will coordinate closely with the MHPSS Officer and Logistic. He/she will also work under general supervision of the Program Director and Advisor at IBU Headquarter.
SPECIFIC TASK
- Plan and conduct medical/health outreach activities (including health promotion) to affected populations, mainly mothers and children with coordination with Local Puskesmas.
- In coordination with Program Manager, attending any technical working group coordination meeting in health and/or nutrition clusters
- Provide referral to families and or children when needed to the health facilities
- Collect and analyze data and report it to the Program Manager
- Coordinate with local Puskesmas regarding data and numbers of medications needed
- Ensure the activities are carried out following Health protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19
LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT:
The length of the position is for 1 month.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
The candidate should be a motivated and proactive Medical Doctor with the right combination of talent, energy and commitment. In addition, the candidate is expected to have the following criteria:
- The ideal candidate should hold the Medical Degree and finished internship, strongly preferred having public health experience
- Officially registered (Having Surat Tanda Registrasi/STR) at the Indonesian Medical Council
- A sound knowledge in the Maternal and Child Health Issue, public health nutrition and sanitation in general
- Ability to collect and analyze data and effectively write it in the report.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations and make decision and solve problems in complex situations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with many tasks at one time. Demonstrate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and advance skills in the use of other internet tools and application
