Short Term Consultant for Web Development

Background:

The Development CAFE (referred to as 'DevCAFE') is a nonprofit foundation that identifies solutions to eradicate poverty in Kenya, Zambia, India & Indonesia. It operates through three pillars, Research for Development, Innovation, and ICT4D, and Capacity Development. It is also a global network of development professionals with a membership of over 10,000 across 143 countries. Dev-Cafe's ICT4D unit creates tech solutions for the poor as well as for enterprises working in the development sector as well as innovative ventures. We are registered as a Yayasan in Indonesia.

Terms of Reference.

Support redesign of DevCAFE website.
Provide web development services for partner NGOs.
Work closely with ICT teams across DevCAFE Indonesia teams.

Duration of assignment.

3 Months part-time assignment starting immediately.

Qualification:

Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Computer Science/ Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/ Telecommunication), Science & Technology, Mathematics, or equivalent.
Familiar with HTML,CSS, JS Programming
Familiar with WordPress
Optimizing performance for the mobile apps/web.
Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile/web technologies
Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/ CSS practices.
Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
Create and maintain software documentation.
Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site.
Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent.
Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen.
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
The ability to work in a team is mandatory.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
