Background  

Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an international medical and humanitarian, non-profit organization acting in accordance with the principles of humanitarian assistance, impartiality, neutrality, medical ethics and medical confidentiality, independent from any political, religious, military or economic authority

Objective  

 

Defining, coordinating and monitoring the medical activities of the MSF Banten Adolescent Health Project according to MSF protocols and Indonesia MoH standards and procedures, under the scope of the Memorandum of Understanding between MSF and MOH. This is to ensure the delivery of quality health related service activities for adolescent patients and helping to contribute in improving overall health conditions of adolescents in the community. 

 

 

Responsibilites  

 

  • Coordinating, assessing and supervising the proper functioning of relevant medical activities according to a defined package of services for Adolescent Health and Covid19.  
  • Participating in the definition of the package of services, annual planning and budget for the project and in the follow up and revision of the current programs and new programs to be developed.  
  • Checking all administrative procedures related to medical care for MSF supported patients are carried out correctly and according to MSF procedures.  
  • Defining the needs and ensuring appropriate use and monitoring of medical supplies, equipment and devices needed for the project activities including for staff health care. Ensuring proper stock management and ordering in coordination with Supply and Logistics.  
  •  Identifying and reporting to non-medical line managers for non-medical support needs (materials, transport, communication, etc.)  
  • In coordination with the HR department, participates in the recruitment, monitoring of the workplans, performance evaluation, professional development, internal communication and other HR related processes of the staff under her/his responsibility 
  • Organizing training sessions, ensuring quality of training and transfer of knowledge to the staff, both MSF and MOH. After the training, carrying out technical supervision of the trained health staff.  
  • Leading in writing reports (i.e. monthly SitReps, medical statistical reports, etc.) by ensuring quality of the collected data and by doing analysis of the data.  
  • Representing MSF and liaising with sub-districts and districts MoH counterparts; actively participating in working with new sub-districts as a team leader of the project medical team 
  • Participating in emergency medical assessments and interventions when appropriate. Supporting the project teams if needed either in the emergency disaster area or from Jakarta 
  • Performing other duties at the request of Medco/DepMedCo 

  


 

 

 

Requirements 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Education 

Medical doctor or paramedical degree with desirable specialization or training in Tropical Medicine/Public Health or related studies 

 

 

 

Experience 

Minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership/management role in a humanitarian organization 

 

Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, communication written and verbal English, facilitation and team development and computer skills 

 

Proven management success for project, finance, operations, including safety and security, and personnel, including staff wellness and supervision. 

 

Demonstrated experience working with government, community, local NGOs and relevant stakeholder. 

 

Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring of project and emergency response programs 

 

Demonstrated experience in produce good quality report for government, internal and relevant stakeholder 

 

 

                                

 

 

Desirable:  

  • Experience on Adolescent Health Care 
  • Experience working with national or international NGOs
