Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Event Coordinator (Code: MEL Coordinator), Full-Time, Jakarta

 

Project Description:

The Sustainable Energy for Indonesia's Advancing Resilience (SINAR) Project is a sixty (60) month project funded by the USAID (United States Agency for International Development) and implemented by Tetra Tech ES, from January 4, 2021 through January 3, 2026.

The purpose of USAID's SINAR project is to advance Indonesia's development goals in expanding reliable and equitable energy services necessary for sustainable development and inclusive economic growth. To achieve this goal, the activity will focus on the following areas: 1) Deployment of advance energy, 2) Performance of energy utilities, 3) Best practices in procurement, and 4) Institutional framework and capacity of energy sector transformation. By achieving this goal, USAID will contribute to Indonesia's Sustainable Development Goals and 2020-2024 National Midterm Development Plan.

Position Roles and Responsibilities:

Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, and Event

·       Coordinate with project staff to collect data according to Activity, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Plan.

·       Support maintenance of program database, including data entry, validation, merging, cleaning, and storage.

·       Support data analysis according to Activity, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Plan.

·       Prepare event management reports (including event summary, minutes of meeting and post event report).

Strategic Programs

·       Maintain data collection, storage, and analysis to ensure that all output documents and deliverables are complete and in compliance to the handover certificate (Berita Acara Serah Terima or BAST) to the Government of Indonesia, as stated in the Grants Implementation Agreement.

·       Facilitate flow of information and knowledge from various technical components to the Strategic Programs component.

·       Prepare technical meeting and knowledge summary from various technical components to the Strategic Programs component.

·       Support the dissemination of project deliverables, project knowledge and information to project stakeholders using existing communications platform.

Deliverables

·       Event summary

·       Event report

·       Technical meeting summary

·       Technical knowledge summary

·       Quarterly report of internal compliance for annual BAST process

 

Posting, Reporting, and Supervision:

This position will be under supervision of Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Manager and reports to Director of Strategic Program.

Required skills and qualifications:

·       Excellent writing skills in English and Indonesian.

·       Excellent skills in data management and data analysis.

·       Bachelor's degree with engineering background and minimum five years of experience the energy sector (preferably the renewable energy sector).

·       Good understanding of knowledge management, renewable energy, gender issues.

·       Ability to support digital events such as workshops, trainings, focus groups discussions, meetings.

·       Willingness to travel to project locations.

Valued but not required KSA:

·       Indonesian national or current resident of Indonesia.

·       Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (reading, writing, and oral presentation).

·       Existing working relations with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, PLN, project and with developers, banks/financial institutions, GOI, provincial government, and PLN officials, developers, banks/financial institutions, and research and development and industry organizations.

·       Familiarity with USAID procedures and practices for quality control, including monitoring.
