EcoNusa Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to enhance various local initiatives of Tanah Papua at national and international levels in an effort to provide support for sustainable management of natural resources in Indonesia.
EcoNusa Foundation was established on July 21, 2017 in Jakarta. EcoNusa encourages the development of the capacity of civil society organizations to conduct advocacy, campaigns, communication, stakeholder engagement, and dialogue among stakeholders to meet the sustainable management of natural resources and promote transparency, conservation, and equality values.
To achieve its mission, EcoNusa carries out several programs including: Local Community Resilience, Policy Advocacy, Eastern Indonesia Communication Center, Local Economic Development, and youth environmental leadership.
Public and Youth Mobilization Unit is managed capacity building and mobilize youth participations on natural resources management, particularly at eastern Indonesia. PURPOSE OF JOB
The Youth Mobilization Coordinator will assist the Program Manager in accelerating youth mobilizations program.
The scope of work covers:
1. Youth mobilization program management
2. Youth network and capacity building
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Youth mobilization program management
a. Develop workplan based on youth program strategies
b. Prepare program implementation (ToR, budget, coordination, reporting, etc).
c. Coordinate the deliveries of services of program's partners and ensuring the partners delivers their assignment according to the contract or agreement.
d. Assist Program Manager on monitoring program implementation, ensuring the achievement, and providing inputs and feedback for improvement.
e. Assist Program Manager in preparing reports to program stakeholders.
f. Conduct field visits if needed.
2. Youth network and capacity building
a. Assist Program Manager in developing program strategy, approaches, and coordinate youth programs.
b. Develop and manage database of youth program beneficiaries
c. Facilitate and monitor EcoNusa youth programs network
d. Able to facilitate online and offline meetings, trainings, webinar, etc.
e. Able to develop and maintain strategic networks related to youth development in local, national, and international spheres.
f. Assist the Program Manager and other unit programs in managing EcoDefender microsite.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES
Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in the field relevant to youth development, environmental education, community empowerment, youth movement, etc. Additional qualifications will be desirable.
Work Experience: At least 5 years of working experience.
Attitude, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
1. Have interest, knowledge, and experience in youth-related programs.
2. Have excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbal communication.
3. Able to facilitate youth-related activities.
4. Able to perform profound research to build content to enhance the microsite and other communication platforms for youth.
5. Extremely creative and for content and design of publications for youth.
6. Organized, efficient and detailed in delivering the program output.
7. Have an integrity, loyalty, innovation, continuous learning, and assertiveness.
8. Have interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team.
9. Have the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities and adapt to change.
10. Willing to travel to remote areas (if needed).
11. Have working experience in eastern Indonesia is an advantage.
WORKING RELATIONSHIP
Internal : the incumbent will work with Public and Youth Mobilization Unit, under Program Directorate and will maintain teamwork with other units.
External : the incumbent will work closely with youth groups, NGO's, local communities, youth-related network at local, national and international level, government, universities, etc.
