Research and Evaluation Officer

KOMPAK Program

KOMPAK is an Australia-Indonesia government partnership supporting the Government of Indonesia's efforts in reducing poverty through improvements in basic service delivery and creating opportunities for work. KOMPAK focuses its efforts on three result areas:

  1. Supporting Local Governments and Service Units to better address the needs of basic service users;
  2. Supporting the poor and vulnerable to benefit from improved village governance; and
  3. Supporting the poor and vulnerable to benefit from increased opportunities for employment and economic development.

 

The Opportunity

The Research and Evaluation Officer is part of the Research and Evaluation (R&E) Team and reports to the Research and Evaluation Lead. This role will support the team in carrying out R&E activities including data collection activities and analysis, development of presentation materials and other related research products and supporting the team by quality checking research and evaluation products.  

 

Key Duties

  1. Participate in the data collection activities (qualitative in particular) through KOMPAK research/study/monitoring activities
  2. Assist R&E team in compiling reports/data/information sourced from KOMPAK study/research/monitoring activities
  3. Prepare various KOMPAK presentation materials as needed
  4. Responsible for checking results of the editing, translation and design of the R&E Team's products to ensure those products met KOMPAK's standards and design guidelines
  5. Provide on-going support to the R&E Team as required

Key Requirements

  1. Bachelor in a socio-economic field or other relevant field
  2. Minimum 3 years' experience in managing administrative and financial needs for teams or social development projects
  3. Ability to plan, organize, implement, and report, on work deliverables
  4. Strong analytical, reporting, and writing skills (in Bahasa Indonesian and English)
  5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team, with strong interpersonal skills, including communicating internally/externally by sharing information with colleagues, clients, and management
  6. Understanding of gender equality and social inclusion issues
