TERM OF REFERENCE 

CAPACITY BUILDING IN PUBLIC SPEAKING AND PRESENTATION SKILLS 

 

 

Background 

 

Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), as a medical humanitarian, non-profit organization acting in accordance with the principles of humanitarian assistance, impartiality, neutrality, medical ethics and medical confidentiality, independent from any political, religious, military or economic authority. 

 

In compliance with MSF's charter and based on an independent assessment of needs, MSF provides medical and humanitarian assistance to populations in distress without discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender or political convictions, in the contexts of epidemics, endemic diseases, natural disasters and conflicts effected, or exclusion from healthcare is taking up active role as Ministry of Health's partner in supporting Adolescent Health Program, Covid-19, Disaster and Health Crisis Preparedness response intervention in Banten and DKI Jakarta.  

In carrying out their active role, MSF staff establish partnerships with various stakeholders through a series of activities such as seminars/workshops, training, education, advocacy and others. The program's technical skills need to be supported by the ability to speak in public along with adequate communication and presentation skills so that ideas or materials will be more 'live', understandable and on target. 

Realizing that the presence of excellent speakers is a process not a product, it's by design not by given. Designed and not directly available, this public speaking training is appropriate to be held as part of a series of capacity building for MSF staff 

 

 

Objectives 

Improve ability in terms of: 

1. Compose and present attractive, structured and easy-to-understand presentations 
2. Analyse the audience's desires and convince the audience in the material presented 
3. do public speaking in an interesting and impressive manner without reducing the message conveyed 
4. Able to speak fluently, systematically, confident and easy to understand 
   
    
   
   Qualification and Experiences 

1. Have experience in facilitation of training, mentoring and coaching to NGOs/Government Institutions/Private Institutions for at least 3 (three) years. 
2. He/she is a Communication Practitioner and Trainer (Certified by the National Professional Certification Agency) 
3. Able to facilitate group/class learning/in house training/through virtual or face to face. 
4. Ability deliver training with strong quality, right on target and with maximum impact. 
5. Willing to travel and facilitate training in Labuan, Banten.
