Meaningful child and youth participation is an important aspect of Plan Indonesia's work, given Plan Indonesia's work mandate as a leading organization in the fulfilment of girls' rights equality. Currently, Plan Indonesia has various forums for youth participation, either through activities in projects/programs, influencing, sponsorship, and internal governance, such as the Youth Advisory Panel.
Thus far, both youth and Plan staff have faced various challenges in implementing meaningful participation, such as understanding the forms of participation, internal policies, funding, to strengthening networking and collaboration with youth organizations or communities. Influencing department reinforces Plan Indonesia's need to strengthen its contribution to the youth movement.
In addition, Influencing Department also sees the importance of the role of children and youth in increasing public awareness regarding issues that affect them. As an effort to strengthen youth involvement and participation of various activities such as campaigns, advocacy, to promotions. Therefore, campaign activities, which require a lot of resources in the implementation, such as the annual International Day of the Girl's Girls' Takeover (IDG-GTO) agenda and the Girls Leadership Program. Beyond campaign activities, youth engagement is implemented in the forms of Youth Advisory Panel (YAP) dan Youth Network.
Responding to this need, the influencing department will recruit a Campaign and Youth Engagement Officer that would support Campaign Lead for the implementation of campaign and youth engagement activities and liaise child and youth partners. The key competencies required for this position will be excellent communication skills; experience in event organizing, especially campaign; adept with technology especially social media platforms, Microsoft Office, Google Forms, meeting platforms; good command in Bahasa, English would be a plus, in written and spoken; familiar with gender equality issues. The experience needed for this position will be minimum 2 (two) years of experience in working on campaign, especially digital campaign.
- Assist Campaign Lead in the implementation of campaign activities
- Support Campaign Lead in developing activity, quarterly, and annual report
- Contribute to ideas generation on campaign strategy, especially digital-based
- Coordinate with Communication Team to support the implementation of campaign in Plan Indonesia's channels
- Organize consultations with youth groups (Youth Advisory Panel and Youth Network's members) to support campaign and Plan Indonesia's decision-making process
- Organize Influencing's youth network's and maintain its membership database
- Liaise with potential participants or resource persons youth activists and champions to facilitate their engagement in advocacy and campaign related forums or events at national, regional and global level
- Support Influencing's Admin Assistant to conduct administration process for campaign related activities
- Develop comprehensive notes and keep records of various meetings and discussion related to campaign activities

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with minimum 2 years of experiences in campaign or awareness raising projects, preferably digital based
- Adept at technology, such as Microsoft Office, Google forms, meeting platforms such as zoom
- Adept at media social, especially Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok
- Able to operate design/ photo editing application such as Canva and/ or Photoshop
- Familiar with working with young people and youth groups
- Good command in English, written and spoken, is highly desired
- Good writing skills, familiarity with development sector terms is highly desired
- Familiar with gender equality issue is a plus
- Team player with good communication skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure with multiple concurrent demands
