Yayasan WWF Indonesia, an independent national conservation organization, is part of a global network of WWF. Yayasan WWF Indonesia is currently seeking the best candidate for the Marine Endangered, Threatened, and Protected (ETP) Species Specialist position. This position will be based in Jakarta, and report directly to the National Coordinator for Marine ETP Species.
This position is responsible to develop strategy and ensuring the best quality of the action plan/work programs implementation to address the issues of Endangered, Threatened, and Protected (ETP) marine species, specifically sea turtles and marine mammals within the WWF-Indonesia working areas, includes to provide any necessary technical guidance/direction and education related to the scope of work for both WWF-Indonesia internal team and external parties. The position also supports the policy and advocacy function as well as maintains good relationships with external parties to ensure the success of WWF-Indonesia's marine ETP species conservation program.
Requirements for this position are:
- At least a bachelor's degree in Marine Biology, Marine Science, or Veterinary. A Master's Degree is preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of works experiences in the conservation field and species management.
- Having some of the courses about marine species conservation.
- Good crisis management skills to handle pressure from project challenges.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- Open-mindedness & receptiveness to new ideas
- Good standards of integrity
- Sensitive and empathetic personality
- Adherence to WWF's values, which are: Integrity, Respect, Collaboration, and Courage.
