Overview of the Role:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for providing M&E support to MAHKOTA's Monitoring, Evaluation and Quality Assurance team. This will include collecting both quantitative and qualitative data, supporting M&E activities, managing contextual media monitoring, as well as supporting DFAT's monitoring and reporting of the program through field visits.

The Government of Australia is supporting the Government of Indonesia under a program called MAHKOTA - Menuju Masyarakat Indonesia Yang Kokoh Sejahtera (Towards a Strong and Prosperous Indonesian Society). MAHKOTA is a flexible facility administered by Cardno that is able to respond to Government of Indonesia priorities, provide top Indonesian and international expertise, and allow the Government of Indonesia to take risks with innovative policy.

About the Role and Responsibilities:
The Monitoring and Evaluation (Temporary) officer will undertake the following tasks:
· Support the MAHKOTA Monitoring, Evaluation and Quality Assurance (MEQA) Team to undertake monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of overall program performance in line with the MAHKOTA M&E Plan
· Support MEQA and MAHKOTA partners (including TNP2K) to design and implement new initiatives, including the integration of gender, social inclusion and sustainability indicators into initiative-level M&E Plans.
· Supporting knowledge management linkages with M&E, including ensuring portfolio documentation is undertaken appropriately and lessons learned from M&E are fed back into initiatives/the program.

About you
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will require:
· Advanced qualifications in social science or management (research and methodological experience are preferred);
· Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an M&E role related to program implementation;
· Experience in developing theories of change/logic models and program designs;
· Experience in the use of both qualitative and quantitative methods and approaches to M&E;
