Currently, Yayasan KNCV Indonesia is looking for a:
Senior Technical Officer - Lab
Duty Station: Jakarta
Senior Technical Officer – Lab will provide quality technical assistance on the strengthening of the lab referral network and establishment of a national quality assurance system and provide up-to-date technical guidance and contributes to the continuous learning process within the project and partners. He/She will ensure evaluation and documentation of interventions to collect and share lessons learned. Maintaining YKI standards of work throughout the organization and project, in her/his field of work also become a part of his/her responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Support the Lab Team/Lab Officer in the implementation of quality Technical Assistance
- Support the Lab Team/Consultant in the development of training materials and SOPs
- Implementation activities on strengthening of lab networking and external quality assessment in coordination with Lab Team and Project Coordinator in charge
- Assist BBLKs/BLKs in developing/adapting guidelines, SOPs and other relevant documents required to achieve the program targets
- Ensure smooth coordination with NAP, National (BLK) and Provincial Referral Labs (BBLKs) and other stake holders
- Submit periodical progress reports and field visit report in accordance with project guidelines to the Project Coordinator in charge
- Assist implementation of the program on strengthening TB Lab networking and external quality control
- Assist National Reference Lab in developing of TB Laboratory guidelines, SOPs and other lab documents in line with international practices
- In performing the work, ensure smooth coordination with NTP, National and Provincial Referral Lab and other stake holders
- Ensure good data and administration on National TB Lab Networking and EQA
- Ensure regular quality activity report to National Reference Lab.
Knowledge Management
- Provides input to project strategy in lab area
- Initiates and facilitates internal (and external) discussions in the lab area
- Develops and maintains personal in-depth knowledge in the lab
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in microbiology, medical doctor, or any relevant area.
- Specific Competencies:
- At least 3 - 5 years of experience working in diagnostic microbiology/TB/HIV at the national/provincial/district level
- Good knowledge of TB diagnostic (microscopic examination, culture/Drug Susceptibility Testing, and new TB diagnostic tools)
- Knowledge of LQAS Cross Test Method
- Expert in operating MS Office
- Good communication skills
- Good in English, oral and written
- Ability to create a supportive working environment amongst all staff
- Ability to work as part of a multi-cultural team and independently
- Motivated and willing to learn and implement new ways of working
- Accurately follow the organizational procedures and regulations
