Project Overview and Role:

About PERINTIS – PERINTIS is a project implemented under the DFAT-funded Indonesia Australia Partnership for Infrastructure (KIAT).

The purpose of PERINTIS is to support Palembang’s sanitation program through a social marketing campaign and training. The focus is on helping community members make informed decisions about sanitation and assisting local government and contractors to deliver effective sanitation services.

Phase 2 of the program is expected to begin in October 2022.

Based in Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia, the MEL Coordinator will be a full-time, permanent role responsible for assisting the MEL Adviser and Training Manager to deliver the PERINTIS MEL Framework and collate, analyse, and display data to promote the Project’s achievements and fulfil client reporting requirements. The MEL Coordinator will report directly to the Deputy Team Leader and will receive support and guidance from the MEL Adviser in Australia

Duties:

  • In conjunction with the MEL Adviser, ensure all deliverables associated with the MEL Framework are met, are on time and are of a high quality.
  • Together with the MEL Adviser, Training Manager and Monitoring & Support Officers (MSOs), measure the effectiveness of each training program in terms of trainee experience and the employment results obtained after completion.
  • Contribute to the development and ongoing review of the MEL Framework and assist with the development of the MEL Database and MEL Dashboards.
  • Develop data collection tools, analyse data, and present data using visualisation methods particularly relevant to training and education.

Skills and Experience:

  • An Indonesian National with minimum of 5 years’ experience as a MEL professional.
  • A demonstrated understanding of data collection, analysis and visualisation methods particularly relevant to training and education.
  • A first degree or higher in relevant fields related to MEL.
