A. Background
The Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (RWI) is an independent academic institution that combines evidence-based human rights research with direct engagement in close collaboration with our partners to bring about human rights change for all. In our international programmes, we directly cooperate with individuals, institutions, organisations, companies, and networks to strengthen their capacities to advance the practical application of human rights. The overall programme objective is to contribute to a just, inclusive, and sustainable development in the region through mutually reinforcing protection of human rights, gender equality and the environment. Building on the RWI's programme activities in the last five years (2017 -2021), RWI will conduct a tracer study to follow up on the results and will explore the programme's contributions to actors and critical stakeholders of RWI. At the same time, the tracer study aims to systemically analyse the significant changes in participants' lives. To support the implementation of the tracer study, RWI will be hiring a research consultant.
B. Position Description
Research consultant is responsible for designing and implementing the tracer study to understand the impact of the RWI's programme
activities to the participants, capture best practices, and provide the recommendation for RWI's future programme intervention and
direction to strengthen the human rights and environmental issues. In carrying out its duties, research consultant is directly responsible
to MEAL officer and under supervision of the Deputy Director of RWI.
