We are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead the CDP franchise in Indonesia. If you want to make your mark in a professional and fast paced NGO, this is the role for you. You will be building relationships with large corporates, policy makers, regulatory bodies, and wider stakeholders to promote transition towards low-carbon economy and to achieving global goal of limiting temperature to well below 1.5C in Indonesia.

The role includes:

 Develop CDP's strategic plan in Indonesia in line with the APAC region's objectives.

 Provide technical and administrative leadership to implement the Indonesia strategy.

 Represent CDP at the highest level in Indonesia, ensuring the NGO's role within the climate and environmental landscape is well understood, through direct engagement with policymakers and the execution of an effective engagement strategy

 Develop strong strategic partnerships with local institutions, government agencies, donors, and other partner organizations to achieve CDP's goals

 Effectively manage risk across the CDP Indonesia franchise, including, but not limited to, the development of rigorous governance and communications frameworks to ensure the implementation of and strict adherence to CDP's policy in a timely manner.

 Act as role model, leader and manager to the CDP local team - providing the vision, coordination, resource management, and supervision required to accomplish the organization's objectives and to deliver high quality products and services.

 Lead development of project proposals for major donors in Indonesia.

 Exercise fiscal responsibility over the P&L and budget.

The successful candidate will fulfil the following requirements:

 A minimum or equivalent of a master's degree in economics, public policy, environmental management, sustainable development, climate change, environmental engineering or another related field.

 A strong network with government, industry association, corporates, financial institutions, and NGOs within Indonesia.

 Proven experience in designing, managing and implementing environmental programs in Indonesia.

 A successful track record of working with national and local government as well as regulatory bodies in climate, environmental, and sustainable finance issues.

 The ability to lead and develop a high performing team.

 Experience in managing teams of environment professionals to respond to complex assignments, reviewing and commenting on project deliverables, and managing short and long-term projects in parallel.

 Demonstrable evidence of excellent organizational and time management abilities.

 Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

 Experience of working in sustainable finance is highly desirable.

This is a full-time role based in Jakarta, Indonesia reporting to the CDP Regional Director for Southeast Asia and Oceania based in Singapore.

Salary and benefits

Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and qualifications. We provide an annual discretionary bonus, 24 days holidays plus public holidays, the opportunity to work flexibly and many others.
