Nutrition International with support from TechnoServe is undertaking rice fortification landscape analysis. Following to the updated landscape analysis, NI proposes to conduct a workshop to disseminate its findings. The aim of the workshop is to provide updates on status of global and Indonesia rice fortification initiatives. The meeting will include discussions on existing enabling environment, opportunity, and challenges for rice fortification. The workshop will also discuss policy and regulations required, target and system/mechanisms, advocacy, and propose recommendations to increase availability and affordability of fortified rice through Indonesia's social safety net program and branded rice through retail markets. The second smaller meeting/workshop aims to identify interest in and readiness of rice mills to start rice fortification. The meeting will discuss comprehensive issues related to the provision side of rice fortification viz. technology, premix/kernel supply, production, QA/QC, costing, including development of business model, the potency of demand generating among social safety net clients and general consumers etc.
Therefore, NI is seeking services from an agency that has experience and capacity to conduct the above-mentioned workshop/ meeting.
