Program Background

DT Global supports the implementation of the Australia–Indonesia Partnership for Justice 2 (AIPJ2). AIPJ2 is an 8-year program which aims to support co-operation between Australian and Indonesian institutions and civil society organisations in order to contribute to the overall goal of:

Strong and accessible justice and security institutions that enhance respect for enforceable rights and rules-based governance systems, over time contributing to stability and prosperity in Indonesia and the region.

 

The Partnership is strategically aligned to achieve GOI partner policies, implementation plans, budgets and practices that:

  • increase transparency and accountability in justice institutions;
  • reduce overcrowding in correctional facilities through restorative justice in the criminal justice system;
  • improve the ease of doing business through reforms to commercial case handling
  • help prevent violent extremism in prisons, on release and in schools;
  • support bilateral and regional cooperation in transnational crime investigations;
  • preventing child marriage;
  • protecting victims of sexual violence;  
  • ensuring family support after divorce; and
  • improved access to justice for people with disabilities.

The Role
Join Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Justice 2 (AIPJ2) as a Finance Officer to support the AIPJ2 Finance Manager on day-to-day financial activities and provide effective and efficient finance support to the project team through the management of integrated financial functions.

About You

You will be a motivated and proactive Finance Officer with the right combination of talent, energy and a commitment to technical excellence. You will also have: 

  • A diploma's degree or equivalent in accounting is required.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years working experience is required. Several years' experience in DFAT (or other major aid donor) financial reporting would be an advantage.
  • Must have good understanding of Indonesian tax laws and tax reporting.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, and good communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and manage risk.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software (preferably MYOB) as well as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Good in written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia and English.
