PROGRAM MANAGER

 

Background

Yayasan Visi Indonesia Raya Emisi Nol Bersih (ViriyaENB) was established with a vision of a net zero society underpinned by an equitable and regenerative economy in Indonesia. We support efforts with cross-cutting approaches to achieve net zero emissions by midcentury in the energy-related sectors including power, industry, transport and built environment.

 

We are looking for two strategic, collaborative, and dynamic Program Managers to join our growing team. This is a full-time position open to Indonesian nationals only.

 

Position Summary

As the Program Manager, you will provide the Program Directorate with strategic, managerial, and operational support. You will oversee a portfolio of grant programs aligned with ViriyaENB's 3-year Strategy Framework. You will also be responsible for managing communication between ViriyaENB and grantees, as well as promoting collaboration among grantees and other key partners.

 

Responsibilities

The Program Manager is responsible for the following primary duties: 

• Strategy:

• Turn ViriyaENB's theory of change into a grantmaking portfolio and partnership-building initiatives.

• Monitor developments in the energy-related sectors and other climate and development areas relevant to net zero goals.

• Evaluate the strategies' viability and recommend adjustments if needed.

• Grant management:

• Identify and develop potential grant programs and partners.

• Work with prospective grantees to develop concept notes and proposals.

• Evaluate proposals against predefined criteria and recommend them to the Grant Committee.

• Periodically assess the grant progress and review financial and narrative reports.

• Collaborations:

• Work with internal and external groups to assess the challenges and opportunities for the grant program.

• Identify potential collaborative interventions and partnerships.

• Facilitate collaboration among grantees and with other relevant partners.

• Communication and reporting:

• Support the preparation of materials pertaining to the grant program for communication and reporting to internal and external audiences.

 

Qualifications

• Master's degree in energy-related sectors, climate change, development, economics, finance, or any relevant fields, and with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.

OR

• Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience in program management, grant management or a related field.
• Demonstrated program and project management skills.
• Excellent relationship management skills both internally across teams and externally with a diverse range of partners and target groups.
• Written and oral fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Effective in virtual and in-person work with minimal supervision.
• Analytical, strategic, and solutions-oriented.
• Flexible, responsive, and thrives under tight deadlines.
• Committed to excellence, integrity, and continuous learning.
• Demonstrated passion for collaborating with civil society and philanthropy groups.

 

Location

This position is based in ViriyaENB's office in South Jakarta. 

 

Position type

This is a 3-year fixed-term contract position, with the potential for extension based on performance.
